I'm saying Britain, because of the things that the British Empire did that still cause strife in the world today. (India/Pakistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, etc.)

What the... we gave the world pasta, pizza, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, The Roman Empire, beautiful women and other things. We also indirectly gave the world Italian-Americans among which there are Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Al Pacino, Sylvester Stallone, Madonna (sorry about that), Robert DeNiro, Martin Scorsese, Joe Pesci, Leonardo DiCaprio and others.
Sure we also gave the world Fascism, but that's a different story.

I vote for none of 'em, every country has some redeeming quality.

Nearly all the things that make the modern world what it is (good and bad) came from Britain, and the empire. So I'm going to go with Britain. America afterall stays very faithful to it's parents.

France has done some pretty shady stuff. They had an empire almost as large as Britain's (although it was mostly dessert), they conquered Europe all the way east to Moscow under Napoleon, and they helped to create the circumstances that let to the 2nd world war.

Yeah but outside Ireland that hasn't had any effect really, and outside the UK it probably hasn't had any effect at all.

While america certainly seem the popular option here (and for I guess good reason) I'm gonna have to go with Britain since... well look back far enough and the British empire has had a hand on almost every part of the globe and not always with good consiquences

One question to everyone did actually vote for America:

How has America, in the last 70-100 years (before that we were basically completely self-contained) had more of a negative impact than the centuries of existence of the vast majority of Europe? The US is responsible for some rather major faux pas in recent times, especially with regards to Iraq, but that doesn't even begin to compare to how much the rest of the world has been fucked by other countries.
