Peytr Baelish. Manipulative master of coin and general all round slimey chap. He makes Burke from Aliens look like a goddam boy scout.
Hell yeah.

Slick as hell, seems to always get what he wants and somehow got through every book unscathed. Maybe it was the evil in me but I found what he did to Lysa hilarious.

I always choose a male character, and rely on in-your-face melee tactics more than often, but...

Arya. She's cute, kind of an underdog and reminds of the protagonist from the great His Dark Materials -trilogy.

I'd play the Dwarf. I can't remember his name, but he, Jon Snow and Arya Stark were the only reasons I put up with the books as long as I did.

Neither of those.

My first choice was Jon Snow, my second one was Khal Drogo...

I remember when I first read that part, I broke down in laughter at the absolute bastard-y nature of it whilst at work. Got some odd looks that day!

Both Bronn and Jorah are undeniable badasses so either of them OR Joffrey, cause he's such a dick that you would have such fun playing him.

I'd probably avoid all the political characters. All that talking and subtle backstabbing would not make for a very action packed game.

I'd probably have to go with Jaime or Brienne. Thing with a game like this would be the requirement to play several characters based on the lifespan and/or exposure each individual has.

Bronn, Arya or Jaime are very interesting characters.
I yearn for a time skip so Arya stark can grow into a full fledged badass.

but I read the books and well, some dreams get crushed early.
Point number one - Spoilers.

Point number two - No offence, but you can't have read the books very carefully if you think that.
Her training at the House of Black and White to become a Faceless Man is all kinds of badass.

OT: Jaime Lannister's character progression is, for me, one of the most interesting in the series so I'll place my vote there. Davos Seaworth gets a mention here too, and I'm eager to see where Griff's story goes as well.
Were you even reading my post? I expressed my wish to see Arya older. and your response is

she is training to be a faceless man! woahahaha

That doesn't begin to address what I said.

Ok, I think you've misunderstood me:

You expressed a desire to see Arya as an older badass, my point was that no time skip is required for that. Why should she need to be twenty-something before anything interesting happens to her? Yeah she's still a sprog, but she's learning to be an assassin - what more could you want?

I apologise if my message came across as confrontational, it was intended as polite inquiry.

I would not mind playing Tywin Lannister. If you can overlook how he treats his son Tyrion he seems pretty harsh but fair to others.

If you had a chance to play as one of these characters (or someone *like* them), which would it be?

Note: I've purposefully avoided adding Robb Stark, Jon Snow and a few other handsome selfless warriors to the list specifically because you've already played that guy or some version of him. Dozens of times.

My personal vote: Other. Personally I wanna spend some time in Bronn's (Tyrion's muscle) shoes. Every single big budget game released in the last decade revolves around professional murder. I wanna play as a professional murder who's perfectly aware of what he is- and remains completely unashamed of that fact. Example quote:

Tyrion: If I asked you to kill an infant girl -still at her mother's breast say- would you do it? Without question?

Bronn: Without question? No. I'd ask how much.

Badass on tap.
I love Bronn in the HBO adaptation because instead of a bogstandard masonic style dagger, he has a kukri.

OT: Well, I'm from Yorkshire, but my accent is quite subtle. The end result, people tell me, is that I sound exactly like Robb Stark.

I'd probably go for Eddard. Partly because he's Sean Bean, but also because he's one of the few with any sense of honor. He's also fairly badass, but that wasn't all too explored. Then again, I'm sort of glad it isn't. No need to beat us over the head with it.

Robb Stark, he was just cool to me like a younger tougher Eddard.
Bah! He's like the boringest Stark you could've picked. John Snow's more like his dad than Robb anyway... Robb's more like his late uncle.

That being said, I'm not surprised Tyrion's the frontrunner. He's beloved by all, and he's a character with no martial prowess to speak of. So if you played him it would be in a game that doesn't revolve exclusively around stabbing people! So there's probably a second message in that choice... (IE: people wanna be able to play noncombatants...)
I don't know if you've read the books, but I won't spoil anything just in case. I'll just say Tyrion's not too shabby in a fight. Wouldn't put him up against Brienne or Jorah or any of the highlighted warriors, or anything (at least not head on) but he's not exactly a pussy.

Littlefinger, so much Littlefinger. I love playing evil or sociopathic characters, the stuff you can do with their character is amazing. So Littlefinger.

EDIT: Oh I thought you meant in the TV series, well same applies.
