Poll: Which gun in L4D is the best?

I almost always use the shotgun, simply because of the other guns faults. both rapid fire weapons i usually run out of ammo very fast and the sniper, while awesome, takes longer to reload than a nuclear missile silo.

What is the best weapon and why?

Auto shotgun or any shotgun, they always have ammo

It's situational. If you're in survival, and your hang out spot is near the ammo, then up to about 8 minutes the assault rifle could be a life saver, otherwise the auto shotgun trumps the rest. Hunting rifle only sees use if I'm feeling lucky enough to be able to shoot through 3 walls and actually hit something.

I also wonder why you bothered to put the normal shotgun and uzi in your poll...

But of they have nice range and both has a sort of "Kick Ass" option by which I mean totally abandoning ammo efficiency in oped for a quick burst of alot of damage(handy for tank,but with out having to hump it while you empty your entire clip into its back)

Assault Rifle. If on a good low ping server i can score headshots in the hoard from miles.

i like any gun EXCEPT the uzi. but shottie by far. no other weapon can kill a witch in 1 hit.

I voted sniper, because of the damage you can deal out from such a distance and in an incredibly quick time.
And it is a M16A3. Not a M4.
