We can argue on and on about what is the best trilogy, but when The Trilogy is mentioned, its Star Wars. Since when have you ever heard someone say "Lord of the Rings Trilogy"? I've heard the phrase "The Star Wars Trilogy" but when I or anybody I know talk about Lotr, they say "Lord of the Rings" or "The Lord of the Rings movies"

Honorable mention goes to the Jason Bourne Trilogy(at least, it's a trilogy now. Until they make Legacy, Betrayal, Sanction, Deception, and Objective).

I didn't like the third one as much, just because of what they did to the time machine.

Which is what I believed was the opinion of many, including my own. I thought they took 3 almost too far, I'm just not sure.

There is no "the trilogy" the star wars trilogy is just that. The star wars prequal trilogy is just that. Same with every other trilogy.

The Lord of the Rings was, in my opinion, simply the most epic, most consistently good, and most meaningful trilogy to date. I don't care for Stars Wars at all, and while, the first two Godfather movies were more than solid, the third was profoundly weak. The Matrix sequels were way overdone, and I've never seen back to the future.

Simply put, I'll put dragons trashing trebuchets, wizards duking it out with fire demons, and stoned midgets over space battles any day.

No offense, that's just me.

All this arguement and people saying i am wrong and my poll is wrong and i clearly say on the 1st post "...yes i do realise that Star Wars is actualy 6 films but the first/latest three dont realy count as part of the original Star Wars plot, so for methe first/latest three are a competly differnt film."

Although i do agknowlage their continued existance, dispite my bet efforts, they are two completly differnt films "The Good SW Trilogy" (the orginal) and "The SW Trilogy That Got Bum Raped By George Lucas And His Wallet" (the newest ones).
