I would say touch because of the whole not feeling pain thing, but what dissuaded me was one word:

Sex.

So smell, I guess.

I'd go with smell. Since taste is covered as a seperate sense, and the question asks for a singular sense to lose... I'll assume that despite it being impossible, I'd keep my taste just fine. And my sense of smell sucks anyway, so no biggy.

Either Taste or Smell, whichever impacts less on enjoyment of food.

Smell is generally the most annoying sense, it's very rare I find it actually helps me (I guess if something is burning or there is a gas leak)?

Losing my sense of taste would suck but with my sense of smell intact I could still enjoy my food to an extent.

Edit: I'm surprised so many people would give up smell over taste. You do know you need smell for a lot of the "tasting" of food, right? Also smell is a surprisingly good indicator of some toxin/chemical-based dangers.

Touch...
Losing my hearing or sight would really screw things over and my smell and taste are used when I cook, which is one of my fav hobbies.
Diffcult one thought, because I do like feeling.
You'd give up touch? you couldn't ever have sex again!
Somehow that doesn't bother me.

I guess smell.

I couldn't stand to lose sight or hearing as I love movies and music too much.

Touch....well that one should be pretty obvious and taste goes with smell so, yeah. Smell.

I'm floating between taste and smell.

For taste - I can eat just about anything, I'm not bothered by what I don't like.
For smell - Festivals and gigs suddenly become a lot easier.

Probably taste, since it's the most easily replaced sense (smell has been shown to influence it). Losing sight is right out, and losing touch could lead to some horrible injuries. Hearing probably wouldn't hurt me that badly, since my college has a large deaf population, but I'd miss the auditory information when gaming.

Taste. Then I would only eat healthy food, and it would be the least hazardous. All the senses can alert you to some danger, but you can play it safe enough with taste. If you lose smell and don't notice the gas leak, you're in for a bad night. Lose touch and don't feel that spider on your leg or your hand on that hot surface.

Although I like the smell of fresh air sometimes. I don't like the nasty parfumes or stench from certain people.

To bad you also lose the sense of taste when your nose loses it's sense of smell.

Still, I'm nothing without my eyes, I'm near nothing without my hands. I want to know what's going on in my surroundings (watching for ninja's) so my sense of hearing has to be right, too.

Smell. I love the taste of food too much to lose taste, and the other's aside from smell are all important. Especially touch, both for the fact that pain is a necessary evil to stay healthy and injury-free, and the whole 'pleasure' thing (what point is there in sex and masturbation without a sense of touch, and thus no feeling?).

So yeah, smell. At least then I wouldn't have to worry when it comes to cleaning up my dog's mess, or when he or my dad fart (or after my dad's been to the toilet...)...

Well, I understand that taste and smell are actually related - but, assuming I had to lose a sense, if I could lose my sense of smell without losing my sense of taste then I'd definitely go for that. I'd have to remind myself to wear perfume and body spray so that I still smell nice for other people, but such is life! It seems like the least debilitating sense loss. (The trouble with losing taste is that it makes it much more difficult to eat - and, if one doesn't eat well, it's bad for one's health. I have this on authority from my friend whose grandfather lost his senses of taste and smell in a motor accident and hated eating ever after.)

Touch. Not being able to feel pain would allow me to do so much bad-ass stuff...
...not to sound like a complete douche, but what about sex? No touch, no sex.
Valid point, but to be honest, sex doesn't interest me too much, and if I can wrap my hand in flaming cloth and not feel it, I wouldn't really be thinking about sex at all.
....aaand after you've burnt off all your limbs and skin? I know I'm just nitpicking now, sorry :p but "no sense of touch" is not = "superpower".
