Smell is directly related to taste. So if I lose smell, I effectively chuck away taste.

So I choose touch. Actually, I wouldn't be able to feel pain (if losing touch means losing the function of my nervous system), so I could theoretically drop dead without ever realising I was dying to begin with.

So I chuck taste away. Sure, I lose the delicacies of cuisine, but smell can easily make up for that.

Taste, I was going to say smell but if you lose smell you lose your sense of taste anyways so why lose two?

Although all have their good sides and their bad sides, in the end taste is the only one I can see myself living without.

Sure, all food would taste boring, but who cares? It's not like I eat much anyway.

Smell. I've always got a bloody blocked nose for no reason anyway, so it makes almost no difference to me.

The 9 people who said sight are either mad or already blind.

I could stand to lose touch. It means my brain compensates anyway, I don't lose any huge practical function, and I don't feel pain.
I don't know if you realise this but Pain is a practical function.

I'm sorry if someone already pointed this out but you're at the start of 4 pages and I'll have forgotten by the end of them all.

OT: Smell, my granny has lost her sense of smell and she does fine.

Preferrably with full retention of my ability to taste, which is heavily affected by smell.

I say smell because I value the other 4 senses more. Couldn't live without the rest given the choice.

There are in fact a believed total of 23 senses, because scientist include being able to sense heat and presssure, to be balanced (ie the sense of falling when you are well falling).

So in light of this i would lose the abillity to sense pressure, no more earpopping on a plane for me.

Smell. I just would go crazy without any of the others. I guess taste is a close second because it's a double-edged sword; you could eat anything you previously didn't like because you can't taste it, but you'll never enjoy your favorite foods again...

But on the downside, you can't feel tactile pleasure either (i.e. no feeling from sex). Not sure if that means anything, but it's something to keep in mind.

OT: Probably taste. There are very few foods I actually like the taste of, and if I couldn't taste stuff, I could eat anything (I really do need to try more foods)

I need taste, touch and hearing. I'm already legally blind in five states, but I wanna keep what I can, and smell was never particularly useful.
