Well since the two are about as different as mustard and marmite, I think it's more then a bit silly to compare the two like this..
FFS, for the last time. I wasn't trying to compare them, I was asking which one the users prefer. And choosing would be much easier because they are 'as different as mustard and marmite'.kickyourass said:Well since the two are about as different as mustard and marmite, I think it's more then a bit silly to compare the two like this..
That was a time I wanted to live in the medieval times, but then I thought about air conditioner. And my laptop! My cell phone? PSP? IPod!?tellmeimaninja said:This.Furburt said:Fallout 3, by far. In fact, since getting Fallout 3, I can't play Oblivion any more. It's just been outclassed, in my opinion.
The combat in Fallout 3 is better, the story, the setting, the acting, the graphics (no more insane bloom), even the music. It's a great improvement. Oblivion was brilliant for its time, but now, its allure has worn off somewhat.
Plus I have a vendetta against medival fantasy settings that I simply can not explain.
It's a good thing you didn't play farther into it. Between the albino radscorpions and the hideous centaurs, you probably would've had a heart attack.Ieyland said:You know what's so pathetic about me? I couldn't play it the first time because I was too afraid of the giant ants. I know, I know. The giant spiders in DA:O also scare me. But they don't scare me from playing an awesome game anymore.
Oh ok them simple, get both of them, they're two of the best games of this generation, but if you must choose, ask yourself this "What do I like more, elves, magic and swords in a fantasy setting, or mutants, guns and 50s themes, in a post apocolyptic setting?" answer that question and you'll know which one to buy first (Seriously though get both games if you have the chance).Ieyland said:FFS, for the last time. To be honest mine are on different consoles and ive never played them on anything else, so to me they feel different.Furburt said:Are you sure you're talking about the same games? I mean, Oblivion and Fallout 3 were built on the same engine, as for general feel of the game, they're almost identical.skeliton112 said:It didn't vote because it is the equivalent of saying do you like SotC or Pacman. They are both great for their time and have comletely different story/gameplay.
I knew we would agree on somethingkickyourass said:Oh ok them simple, get both of them, they're two of the best games of this generation, but if you must choose, ask yourself this "What do I like more, elves, magic and swords in a fantasy setting, or mutants, guns and 50s themes, in a post apocolyptic setting?" answer that question and you'll know which one to buy first (Seriously though get both games if you have the chance).Ieyland said:FFS, for the last time. Word of caution though, the friendly AI in those game are horrible, really the only flaw in those games, is that your allies are constantly running in front of your weapon so you kill them and and your other allies turn on you for killing this first guy, and you're forced to kill them to, it's maddening, (For the sake of your sanity, in Fallout 3 when you have to escort someone to a place called "Bigtown," run ahead and KILL EVERYTHING before having him follow you, he CONSTANTY runs in front of your VATS aimed shots and kills himself (And you if you have an explosive weapon), causing you to lose Karma and the residents of Bigtown hating you).Ieyland said:I knew we would agree on somethingkickyourass said:Oh ok them simple, get both of them, they're two of the best games of this generation, but if you must choose, ask yourself this "What do I like more, elves, magic and swords in a fantasy setting, or mutants, guns and 50s themes, in a post apocolyptic setting?" answer that question and you'll know which one to buy first (Seriously though get both games if you have the chance).Ieyland said:FFS, for the last time.
