i'm surprised so few people have said medal of honour, but i'm saying that. i would have said new vegas, but i guess that's an RPG rather than an FPS.

Halo: Reach. It looks amazing and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on the Legendary Edition I preordered.

He's talking about the Fall Flood, not the Post-Fall Finish.
Actually, for me its Spring and we call Fall "Autumn" here anyway, but in essence you're right that's what I originally meant. Apparently I underestimated how many Shooters are in the works though.

I really have no idea what you're on about. As stated in the review, while DNF took a long time, when it was finally released it was so genre-shatteringly brilliant it was utterly forgiveable. ;)

Going with Brink, I'm bored of shooters pretending to be gritty serious action movies. I'd rather start parkouring in a gritty semi-serious game while shooting people in the face.

EDIT: Also make a character with a retardedly large mohawk or a very stupid and impractical mask.

I'm very interested in Brink, because it is developed by the people who made Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, which was an absolutely excellent multiplayer game.

Halo: Reach is also sounding pretty spanky at this point, and it sounds like they are making very necessary changes to the MW formula in Black Ops. However we know how much Halo 3 and MW2 were hyped up to be, and look how they turned out to be, so I'm gonna wait them out a little while.

Didnt you hear?
Valve liked DNF so much they asked 3D realms if they could use the game engine to power Episode 3. Also, Episode 3 will not be released as a seperate game this time around, it comes as the prologue level to Half Life 3 (as in it come For free with 3) and will be hitting the shelves tommorrow at midnight HOW COULD YOU MISS ALL OF THIS NEWS!!!!!!! If you pre order now you get a code that lets you download DooM's BFG9000 for use in Half Life 3's multiplayer!!!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of FPS's in general, but I've always liked the FEAR games. So FEAR 3.

Being PS3 owner, I'm hyped for Brink, looking forward to Medal of Honor and I'll get Black Ops because I'm interested in the campaign.

To be honest, I wasn't bothered too much about this topic enough to research and produce a full essay on it, but if you were describing to someone about Portal, you would not say it is an FPS, ever. It probably isn't even classed as an FPS. There is no weapons for the player to use and the portal gun doesn't really count as one. The enemy's using weapons is irrelevant anyway so I don't see why anyone would classify it as an FPS.
Alright, let me break down the sentence and add my two cents:

While true enough, you might not add that Portal is a FPS doesn't mean it's not a FPS.
It is classed as a FPS.
There are no weapons in Portal. So what? Explain to me why it's necessary for a FPS to have weapons.

Of course! Not to mention the Special edition, which will include an actual crowbar which will be used with Kinect which is bundled free with the game!!!!

The game is FULL kinect supported. Menaing you actually Have to run around hitting people in the face with a crowbar IRL.
