Well... it is only a mater of time until we see some kind of chaos tainted Tau... I'll admit, I never thought of it before.Jack Of Herts said:Of the three, I'd say Tau are probably the most interesting to use, but on behalf of my Dark Eldar I must ask, ever considered "Renegade Tau"? Screw the greater good I fight for my self? Indulge in excess, forget the empire? No?
Oh well...
see Im a person that wants to fight for the good of his people, i dont like the ideals that the chaos bring to the universe, its a personal choice but yeahUnSeEn60 said:I notice you didn't mention Chaos Marines. I'm quite sad now![]()
the space marines are too boring for my liking, they are the generic human special tasks force, and they seem to hyped for battle for my tastesDyp100 said:Daemonhunters.
There old and they fail, (or so I figure) but it's rumoured a new Inquisitor codex is coming out.
Also, no Space Marines?
Yeah, they are a bit hyped. IDK about being generic, you need to get into the fluff of something that isn't Ultramarines, the poster boys. (Who are boring, epic win forever guys. The new fluff writer is a player, so he hyped them up in the fiction so much.)ihazawii said:the space marines are too boring for my liking, they are the generic human special tasks force, and they seem to hyped for battle for my tastesDyp100 said:Daemonhunters.

It's not a very easy comparison to make actually. All the Tau vehicles are grav-tanks whereas the Guard are all on tracks. You do get a lot more variety with the guard tanks and the Leman Russ (guard heavy tank) is tougher than anything the Tau has. They are probably the 2 armies that can throw down the most firepower though, so the comparison comes with the Tau having on average stronger firepower at the cost of numbers.ihazawii said:Seeing how i dont really know much about the unit power and what not, Are the tau tanks comparable to the guards tanks?
Damn, how could I have not heard of this?generic gamer said:Sorry to spoil the fun but:Dyp100 said:Also, it'd be careful of the Tau. ;P LOTS AND LOTS of fluff point at them being made by the Necron. 8D I love the hints, can't wait for the new Necron codex. (Hope it isn't ruined, though.)
The tau ethereals are actually a sub-race of tau specifically engineered by the eldar to unify the tau race into an anti-chaos weapon. They use a pheromone control method to unify the tau that was taken from a species called the q'orl. Whilst this doesn't prevent the tau being necron constructs it does make it unlikely, the eldar being the one race left alive that remembers them from the first time around and given the eldar's knowledge of what pariahs are. (From codex: assassins and codex: necrons)
