Your side is probably biased as well tbh.
Not really, because we don't teach it to schoolchildren.

It's a footnote in British history.

Yes, the Americans took on the British Empire all alone, it's not like they had help from other world powers or that the British armies had completely overextended themselves. -_- anyway, Belgium fired first.
I know, France, Spain, even Native Americans helped out. I'm just talking about the early days before the war even started. Before the US had a formal military to fight the Brits or any bug allies to rely on.
Fair enough. Hehehe.... bug allies... the British empire defeated by giant ants...

As far as I know Duke Nukem is the only human being capable of firing a shot so badass that it can be heard by every single human being in the world.

Well, we probably are, but history in our schools always tries to be taught objectively, looking at all sides of whatever is happening. For our key syage 3 history exams (aged 13-14)the main focus of the exam is intrepreting evidence and evaluting whether they are biased, so political cartoons, propaganda etc. is given and we have to sort out how reliable it is.

Someone already posted that the video is not a serious educational material, I was just concerned at the bias of it talking about "we beat the redcoats back" and "Our brave boys crossed the Delaware" Clearly it is one-sided, but as I said, it's not a big deal as long as in the classrooms the events are focused more factually.

(Sorry to spam your inbox, Wooty!)

Essentially, this^

Whilst both wars are equally important in our World's history, I feel that the Great War kinda wins this one.

However, in context with the question, I'd say that the Minutemen shot first, sick of British treatment of the colonies. (Although, I don't know much at all about the War of Independence.)

It was probably a deer who accidentaly stepped on a twig or something. He then got punctured by a volley from some overly anxious soldiers.

Either that or god was bored and decided to clap his hands to get shit going.

I'm going to go with the British, trying to keep the minutemen under control, firing a shot into the air, spooking the minutemen who opened fire.

Also, I love how it says stereotypes aside, then goes on to mention the godless Belgians. Just thought it humorous.

I have been told by the staff that whenever something goes wrong, we blame Kross.

Way to start the revolution, dude. BAD!

*swats with newspaper*
At my job, we take turns. Somebody takes all the blame for all the bad stuff one day, and then we switch to the next person.
Keeps us sane.

American here, and I am almost certain it was one of the freedom high Americans. Think about the mindset of the minute men for a minute.

They were pissed off, and they went out looking for a fight.
