I thought you were using hyperbole, not being sarcastic. Your sarcasm wasn't so subtle as it was impossible to detect in the form of writing. And your response is like George W. Bush jumping out and saying "I'm really a Democrat; look at all the material I've given the satirrists to work with! I was being sarcastic!"

- My response was ridiculous intentionally, and through that I was conveying my sarcasm, Just like George bush (a Republican) saying that hes a Democrat, the sarcasm is present, not through the tone of voice, but through the relative comicality of the statement. Its just like the phrase "When pigs fly" a pig flying is ridiculous making the claim that it will happen sarcastic.

- I think you need to take a look at the definition of sarcasm:
1. harsh or bitter derision or irony.
2. a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark

Usually sarcasm is in response to something, as well as short, snappy, and to the point. Your mess of words was just random asshollery that came off as trigger-happy trolling. Even if it was sarcastic it clearly wasn't funny, and as I have said, detracted from the OPs conversation. Learn to either a) follow the prompt, b) put "off-topic" before rants, or c)shut up instead of wasting my time with your fantastic attempts to be funny.

-you understand that works of satire can be considered sarcastic, whole literary works can be elongated forms of sarcasm, Mark Twain (an author that we all know) was notorious for writing whole stories, poems and songs that had no other purpose then to be a sarcastic.

- No, having an aside that both chastises you, and then apologizes is a legitimate strategy in debate, this allows me to point out a set of criticism but remain neutral because ultimately I apologize.

He is convinced he is funny, even though all evidence points away from that. But you are being worse than that. If the first baseman makes a bad throw to the second baseman, who's fault is it when the second baseman doesn't catch the ball?

1.) Of course its not, its purely a political act, It has no meaning other then to show an act of relative good will, I'm simply saying "I recant my statement because you asked", not because I believe I did anything wrong, simply because you and others seemed somehow offended.

2.)The response I had to was to simply explain that I do not, in fact, hate the show, I'm sorry if someone responding to me promoted a response from me.

3.)Of course sarcasm is supposed to be met with skepticism, at least to a degree. Sarcasm is a way in which you say something, but mean another, If you don't approach it skeptically then your doing it wrong. The problem is people took it seriously, and as such its my obligation as the person who said it to explain: "no, I was not being serious".

4.) That would be a fine analogy, if you said the crowd started throwing a fit at him because they didn't get what he was trying to convey, or the second base man blamed his misunderstanding completely on the 1st baseman.

5.) Your on a gaming forum, In a thread discussing the possibilities about a character in a fictional comedy, arguing at length with a stranger on the Internet. You have an odd system of measuring worth of your time. It really doesn't take that much time to read 1 or 2 paragraphs, and the post, while longer then it needed to be, ultimately did contribute to the discussion.

6.)Failtastic isn't a word, so when I ran the spell-check app for Opera it prompted me to change a list of words, naturally it doesn't make accommodations for made up words, and I have to go through manually and choose which words I don't want it to change. Obviously I missed the fact that failtastic, at a glance doesn't look like a made up word, but a misspelling.

We'll never find out. This is a classic South Park gag of building up viewer expectations and then leaving them unsatisfied for comedic effect.

As to which character it is, I really couldn't guess. They all look identical when without hair or hats, something which the "Super Best Friends" episode also touched on. I did like the contrast between the "Coon" and "Mysterion." Sorta the kind of thing you might get if the Crow met Spider-Man. If I had to guess who Mysterion is, I'd say Kenny because I think that'd be funny. I was hoping it WAS Kenny, because every so often Matt and Trey do an episode where we either get to see Kenny or hear him, unmuffled.

And what's with the argumentative folks? Can't you all just be Kool and the Gang?

I just noticed something else while watching a rerun of the episode - when they're standing at the lockers talking about having pictures of Mysterion hanging up, Cartman walks over to Clyde's locker and just for a second they show the inside of it. I didn't actually see what was in there, but I wonder if there might have been something like part of Mysterion's costume in there.

I'd like to think of Mysterion as Kenny, seeing as we've so far only heard him twice without his hoodie on (Ending scene in the movie and the episode The Jeffersons).

But then again, he was the focus of the first episode in S13, so it being him seems unlikely...

With that in mind, i'd guess its Stan.

I voted Kenny. For the same reasons that others have mentioned so far:

-Hood
-Cheap Outfit
-No problem hurting Butters again
-Boredom\nothing better to do
-Ignored Cartman's inquisition at the bus stop

And also to refer to the Michael Jackson episode where Kenny "actually got to do something for a change". I think Trey & Matt like Kenny more than it appears. They use him in some really cool ways and he gets to have all the fun, even if the other boys make out like he's the shittest of them all.

In a way, Kenny has always been the masked hero of the show.

While we all know they will never tell us, and Matt and Trey probably didn't even plan the identity of Mysterion themselves, I would guess it was Stan.

My reasoning is since Mysterion agreed to reveal himself after the hospital incident, it shows that he had some sort of conscious. Which seems to be up Stans alley. Also, Mysterion knew where Kyle lived, shown when he visited Kyle to get his help to stop Professor Chaos. Since Kyle isn't the most social little bugger, I would think that only his friends would know where he lives. While Kenny would also be a viable option, his motives just don't seem to match Mysterion's. I don't think he would care about the town that much.

I am going to go against everyone else and say it is Kevin. (Yes, their is a kid named Kevin on the board Tivo it and look) I believe it is him for the simple fact that there was no reason to include his picture on the board and he has never done anything of note so he might be trying to gain some attention through his alter ego Mysterion.

If what Cartman or the "Coon" says is true about saying his name before then I'll have to go with Clyde like you said he was asleep in class So maybe he's up at night patrolling or was working on his suit (or longshot planning to get back at Cartman for waking him up). Also he made a point of saying he had a picture of Mysterion in his locker while the other kids wern't even looking that way. Craig is known for not liking anyone so hero wouldn't really be in his MO. I also have to thiink Stan is out becuase he's already one of the main stars of the show why wouldn't he want to try to make a superhero team with his friends like when they wanted to be Ninja/Martial Arts Fighters.
