I think Daniel Craig. To be honest, after watching some of the old Bond filmd and then the recent ones, I preferred the reimagined version in everyway.

Connery was fantastic, Brosnan was everything Bond should be, but he just wasn't quite Connery-perfection.

Moore was alright, Dalton was ok, bordering on poor.

Craig is an awful Bond. I really don't like his portrayal of Bond, or, for that matter, the new movies.

Lazenby was the worst Bond. No charisma, no acting ability, not Bond.

ive been watching a lot,A LOT, of James Bond movies lately and been asking every one "who is the best bond?" and you wont believe the mixed reactions. most people said Sean Connery i think that too but frankly i believe everyone thinks that because he's the first. please tell me your favorite bond, and if you want to, gadget, movie, or villain.

Pierce Brosnan. He took the greatness of the Bond character roled by Connery and made him even more aloof and suave. Those two really are the only ones to make Bond, James Bond.

Craig is the worst. His demeanor is more fitting for a character like The Punisher than James Bond.

And Daniel Craig is the worst Bond ever, because the new movies are the biggest betrayal to James Bond I have every seen.
Bond films need to follow a set course. Bond fights bad guys, meets evil girl, meets evil guy, various filler peaces, Bond saves Bond girl, and Bond fucks Bond girl, spy car fight, final fight, and Bond saves world.
And the last two movies had nothing even close to that, the Bond girl in the new one disappears for half the movie and then randomly shows up again. You have to keep Bond movies the way we remember them, when they were awesome. I feel so betrayed by the last two movies? sob?

...and that formula has no doubt become stale - you shouldn't just do the same thing over and over...

I loved Timothy Dalton as Bond, but he was only in two films. For the sheer breadth of his work, Sean Connery is by far the best Bond. Dalton might have given him a run for his money if he'd been able to star in more of the movies.

As far as Daniel Craig goes...I like the movies, but they're not the classic Bond films I grew up on. It's a Bond-meets-Bourne kind of thing, and while interesting and gritty...he's not really the same James. I think reinterpretation is fine, but he will never be who I think of when I think Bond.

Simply, Pierce Brosnan. He is the most "smooth" out of all the Bonds that I have seen, and I would have picked Sean Connery, but I feel that his voice is too gruff for a "real" James Bond.

what few people know is according to rumor, Roger Moore was Ian Fleming's first choice to play Bond.

also, he was in Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun. clearly the two most entertaining bond movies ever made.

I've seen every James Bond movie, most of them more than once, and the Sean Connery was the best for me. He was the classic womanizing smoking beat-em-up James Bond that no longer exists, and I love it.

You do realize that Casino Royale was based on the original novel right? The real bond is supposed to be cold hearted, not to mention, bond is just starting out in those films.
