I liked Three-Dog. He had some interesting dialogue, and it stayed fresh if you kept working through quests. I liked the music, and he was a pretty distinctive character. Hell, even my Dad could remember who he was.

Also, he comes with the best ability out there: to TURN HIM OFF. You have to talk to him all of twice that I remember: it's not like you can't just turn off the radio if he annoys you.

He's da s**t.

o yea, I remember when I played the Russian ver of the game and his Russian voice actor didn't know how to do his aaaouuuuhh (or however you spell that sound)... That was hilarious!

And how could I forget the music! It's one of my favorite game soundtracks...

Three dog was a balance for me. His 'Aroooo' howl thing was the only thing that irritated me, since you'll hear it at least 100 times during the game whilst listening to GNR

He's alright, but I like the lines he has more than the character. With lines I of course mean the constant 'I love this gal' speeches.

But yeah, occassionally I wondered why he didn't understand why I killed the Ghouls for Tennpenny...

3-Dog is the only NPC in the game I swore not to murder when I went evil. He was a shining beacon of hope on my dull, music-less existence.

The only issue I had with him was the lack of news that wasn't plot related. I wanted more news about what I was doing!

Same. Too bad they didn't expand his role in the radio to more than just a plot reminder.

I liked Three-Dog. DLC Voice packs, anyone? I'd like to have some new stuff to listen to - including more 50's jazz.

Three Dog got killed by me, but that's not saying much. I've killed half of the innocents of the wastelands by now...

I liked him, though they could have put a bit of variety into his closing messages. Every time he said: "Thanks for listening chiiiiildren, this is Three Dog, *howl* and your listenin' to Galaxy News Radio." I loved GNR until my radio became all choppy and distorted. I still haven't managed to fix that :(

I really liked everything he said the first time I heard it.

Personally, for such a pivotal character, I expected them to give him more time than 30-40 minutes of looping radio depending on how far you are in the main plot.

I killed him once and all the brotherhood soldiers glitched and thought that I had completed the satellite mission.

ie: Three-dog is dead, the radio is being run by an intern, playing nothing but music and a couple complaints about "some bastard shot our DJ!" (I shit you not, it was hilarious)...

And the brotherhood soldiers are like "Finally! This is just like how the station used to sound!" "I'm glad you set things right." "It's like I'm listening to a whole new station!" (Which all, oddly enough, applied to three-dog being dead just as fine as they would with the satellite coming back.)

Anyway, yeah, I liked him, but he could have been better.

Same here. Especially right now, on my third character a.k.a. Gordon Freeman. You do not force Gordon Freeman to find your stupid satellite just so he can find his dad.
I just told him to go find his own satellite thing... yay speachcraft

he was alright, but it seemed kind of like a 45 year old trying to do street speak. Better than the other one though

I think he's a poster-child for bad voice acting. I mean, did you ever meet anyone on the street or hear anyone on the radio who sounds like that? You'd never confuse 3Dog with a human being.
You obviously never heard of Wolfman Jack. One of the most popular, influential radio DJs ever. And I mean ever.

That guy was just amazing. I think the whole 3Dog character was modeled after him, in a way.

Try this. Go to Rivet City INSTEAD of going to the GNR station. You can go straight on with the game without even talking to THU-REEEEEEEE DAAAWWWGGG! (I hate it when he says that)

I have to say, I did like 3-Dog. Though, everytime he spoke, I had a strange urge to go and play Crazy Taxi. I do have to admit that I was disappointed when I actually met him in-game. I mean, its not as if I expected him to hop up with a Mini-gun and come free the Wastes with me... I dunno, I guess I expected him to throw me a t-shirt or something. Isn't that what Radio DJs do? Hehe. And yeah, the "Good Fight" bit got annoying... especially seeing that he was lecturing me on the "Good Fight" right after I had a GREAT FIGHT with the giant shit-stomping mutant out front of the Station. Cheers.

I see what you mean. I guess I now understand where 3-Dog is coming from, but I still say he has an affected quality to his voice. It sounds jarringly unnatural to me, in a way that even Wolfman Jack doesn't match. Maybe it's just me, it's hard to shake the notion once you've got it.
