Double-Fine is pretty good (Then again they've only made Psychonauts, but that's why their good.)

This. Also Ubisoft, Funcom, THQ, Frontier. And indie developers everywhere.

I can't say Valve, as I tragically have not been able to play L4D yet, and their only redeeming titles for me are the original Half-Life, CS (originally a community mod) and Portal (similarly not an original idea although admittedly they did make it many times more awesome).

I didn't much care for Half-Life 2... Hey, put down those pitchforks, we're all friends here!

Valve... I doubt they've ever released a game that has failed, epically.
But Blizzard deserves a mention. While they do not create brilliant games, they do make some of the most addictive gaming imaginable.

I gotta go with Game Freak. Pokemon games are like handheld crack, but without the cost of regular drug use.

I put other for Atlus, some of the best jrpg's out there.

They have a high ass quality to quantity ratio considering the number of games they release.

I don't really count the pokemon games as full-on JRPGs, otherwise I'd go with Atlus.
