BTW - on the Jap version you cannot detonate the bomb - you can only defuse or ignore it. Soft.

Yeah, I guess they were afraid people would be offended. But then again, they'd also have to rename the fat man since that's what we dropped on Hiroshima. Does anybody know if they renamed it?

Idea - Sneak into town one night with Fawks get him to steel the nuke (armed of course) take it to Raven Rock, place it out side the door. "Ahem Mr Eden Sir, I have that G.E.C.K you wanted".

I did it by accident. I thought I was going to join a club or gorvment thing if I did. Beautiful explosion thoguh! I suggest eveyone should at least try it its a great in-game explosion!

No there is no have clean water in your house as far as I know. The only place I can think of right now with clean water is Tenpenny Tower. There is another one but I can't remember.

I did blow up Megaton, I killed the ghoul Moira. Then I killed the ghouls trying to get into tenpenny tower, then I killed everyone in Tenpenny tower, and Rivet City, and the temple of the union, but spared paradise falls and the oasis... for now

In my first playthrough I defused the bomb and allowed the ghouls to over run Tenpenny Tower.

I started a second playthrough and for a change I blew the place up. The spectacle alone was worth it! When, it came to the Tenpenny Tower quest, I managed to persuade Tenpenny to allow ther ghouls to live in the tower as well.

I was only then that I noticed having made Lydia Montenegro leave the tower, I had no one to buy themes and stuff for my suite. I haven't had time to check if she's gone to live elsewhere, I hope so, as my Suite looks a little bare at the moment.

I did the same, but then, after saving Megaton, I found out that you can still do the Survival guide after blowing it up. You find Moira has become a Ghoul (though she doesn't know it) and still wants to do the book.

She tells you she was out doing research for her book. You find her somewhere OTHER than Megaton, but I can't remember where it was. It's actually quite funny, she doesn't really know that she's a ghoul so you're the one who has to break it to her. Poor Moira, she and Three Dog are the best characters in the game.

I made 6 different characters and 3 of them blew it up just for the caps. Then I killed Tenpenny and Mr.Burke.

I defused the bomb on my first playthrough, given that I was playing as a good character (I actually did the same with my neutral character, since I managed to convince Sheriff Simms to pay me 500 caps, instead of just the paltry 100 he starts out with).

I did, however, wipe Megaton off the map with my evil character (but not before doing or getting everything there was to do or get there first - quests, followers, etc, etc) - seeing the blast at night makes it all the sweeter.

Unfortunately, I failed to anticipate just how stuck up those Tenpenny snobs really were - and I really can't be bothered making a new evil character.

It's much more enjoyable to, before getting off, to slaughter everyone in megaton.

That way you can take out your hatred of them and not have to worry about anything because you already saved the game.
