Poll: Who nuked Megaton.

I made two saves: one were I do and one were I don't. The save were I do I relode it over and over for the fun of nuking megaton.

I did, just to see what happens. It is quite chilling when you go back to see the shell of the town.

I saved before I did any of it though so I could play through with Megaton intact. There's not much benefit to destroying it as you get a lot of quests and other interesting things there.

I didn't. And I'm glad, got a ton of side missions that made it up for the money and a free accomodation, so I don't have to pay for the doctor when I'm injured, just have a sleep.

Nuking megaton is bad though, because you either have to wait until relatively late to get a house once you've skilled up to rob the place blind, or miss out on all the Phat Lootz you can rob from the place.

I killed everyone in the town and then stole all the loot I could fine. Then I blew it up. I got super rich and super strong super quick.

I wanted to nuke it, but I realized that I'd lose my home with free water. Turns out I could have gotten the suite in Tenpenny Tower if I had destroyed the town... *headdesk*

I haven't nuked Megaton yet (I had killed everyone for shizs and giggles though after saving) - its just a useful place to keep all mien loots and sell for lots o monies to that ever irratating Moira ("oh noes! Those poor widdle mole ratties and their widdle nosies" I swear, I WILL shoot the silly moo if she ever comes out with that again).

Well, if you nuke megaton, you still have access to all the perks of the town (including Moira, just in different places) AND you dont have to worry about Talon company jumping down your throat every so often on a contract kill mission.

That said, on my first playthrough I defused the bomb, the second I burned the town down.

Ya but you got those dang lawbringer dudes trying to collect the bounty on your head. And the Talon Company has better armor

I made Megaton brighter than the sun for couple seconds really nice spectacle oww and I also used the black widow (played as an chick) trait to get more money for it, just cause I'm a greedy bastard
