The Flood is us. We are a parasitic organic life form that infects everything.
The Geth are the machines and computers we built. A lot of computer parts, cars, machines, etc are built by other machines and computers.

how...does that...work? i'm sorry i don't think anybody else on this thread is on the same train of thought as you are. it's the flood and the geth - two completely different factions from two completely different universes (halo universe || mass effect universe) not creator vs creation .. so.. i don't quite think your theory fits ... but hey, it's a good government conspiracy/world apocalypse theory
depends if the flood already infected an entire race to fight for them. Otherwise, they screwed.

Alright so there was this rip in the fabric of space time, and the halo universe spilled over into the mass effect universe, (which is basically still our universe, considering it's only 183 years in the future, and you can visit our solar system.) And the flood mutated into all the different...

Depends. In a straight fight the Geth take it easily, but in a realistic (so to speak) scenario the Flood would have a huge numbers advantage.
You forget that the Geth can simply leave and go back behind the Veil, or hide in a huge asteroid field, or just leave the known Galaxy for a while. Then, years or decades or even centuries later, they come back with thousands of ships, and just glass all the planets and take out every ship they see.RAKais said:

Btw. From what the old computer in mass effect tells you (the one that explains the Reapers plan) they don´t need the pioneer, he just tells them that it would be worth the effort.
All they needed to do is to create another one of their mass effect generatores and use it.

I got to go with the geth but I have to ask is it just the geth or do they have Sovereign and Saren because if they do it won't matter how many guys they have because Sovereign will probably turn half of them against each other and Saren is or was the greatest SPECTRE ever. If they have either one, they will wipe the Flood clean from the universe. REAPERS RULE!

The Flood actually can take control of machines, a proto-gravemind (or Gravemind) can directly interface with any computer system. And as with organic hosts they can suppress AI's, allowing the Flood to perform all computer functions.
And a proto-gravemind can grow from a spore given energy and materials.
Proof can be found in Halo 2, having captured 2401 Penitent Tangent the Gravemind was able to have some control over Installation 05 (notably the teleporters).
