if u can remember that then you would know the flood werent able to fly the ship and in the book Halo: the flood, the marines had to fly the truth and reconsiliation offf of halo so the get would win slimply because they understand how technology works and can use it

The Daleks has already exterminated them both.

Cylon: You have destroyed both the Flood AND the Geth, with only four Daleks?
Dalek: We would destroy them with merely ONE Dalek!!!
I can just imagine the Dalek saying those exact words in the exact way that daleks sound. i totally lol'd.

And just for the record, Starbuck would totally destroy everything mentioned above in this topic.
:O BUT WHAT IS STARBUCK?? :O :O :O
There's an episode where the Daleks do actually say that, I think it's the one with the Cybermen fighting them.

Also, I wonder, if a Flood was to infest a Cylon, would the Cylon die and spread the flood (probably not because the disease in the show does that because it has a electric bio-feedback and I have no knowledge of if the Flood does this) or would the Cylon consciousness remain inside the Flood?
oh yeah, i remember that one. that must be why i said that i could totally imagine them saying that: because i could just baaaaaarely remember them saying it!

I don't think the flood would be able to infest any sort of Cylon, not even a 'skin-job'..because they're still machines, in the way that their brain has subroutines and all that programmed into it...thanks to Ellen ;D

The Geth because in a war where your supplies are based off of looting other peoples corpses when you fight synthetics you're screwed from the start. It's like farming without dirt.

Here's a startling revelation for all the Geth fans.

The Flood actually can take control of machines, a proto-gravemind (or Gravemind) can directly interface with any computer system. And as with organic hosts they can suppress AI's, allowing the Flood to perform all computer functions.

And a proto-gravemind can grow from a spore given energy and materials.

Proof can be found in Halo 2, having captured 2401 Penitent Tangent the Gravemind was able to have some control over Installation 05 (notably the teleporters).
O.O bingo! Well, also in the way that they could manipulate Covenant ships like in Halo 3
And that part in Halo 1 where the infected Capt. Keyes is stuck in the giant growth in the Reconcilliation's control room. Another 2 Elites (you can tell by examining their legs) are in that growth with him. In the 2nd Halo book, the flood was collecting Keyes' knowledge while infecting him - it was learning how to fly the ship in order to escape from the Halo.

see the think with the flood is if one spore survives it could land on a planet and create a new colony.it would only take about a week to have an army ready to attack the geth and the only way to kill the flood completely is to destroy either all organic creature or destroy every last flood so its pretty much a stalemate.

you cant stop the flood. the flood would probably leech off the Geth copses and make a hybrid of some kind

Im inclined to vote Geth but i think it would take a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog ass time for there to be a distinct victory.

Yep. Unless... Flood + Krogan = uber creature.
That would just take the Krogan awesomeness away!!!!

Think about it. Instead of an awesome brutal bloodthirsty lizard armed to the teeth with futuristic guns you get a brainless infected lizard that instead of blasting you into a million pieces from a mile away run toward you to chew on your testicles, while you easily blast its head off with a simple shotgun.

Plus the Flood can't take the Krogan :D

I think Geth would win. First of all no one knows just how powerfull the Geth really are. No one knows what they have been doing behind the veil since their rebellion. No one knows just how many of them are there. For all we know Saren had only a small scout fleet under his command.

Now I understand that Flood is a dangerous opponent but it does need to infect other species to become any sort of a threat to the Geth. Do you really think that the council would just let itself get assimilated? No, they would fight a long bloody war. Geth would be free to attack the Flood while its weak or the organics to decrease Floods food supply (devide and conquer tactics).Don't forget this isn't Halo universe mass effect technology in my oppinion could be very usefull against the Flood if used by both the Organics and the Geth.

Even if the Flood managed to infect all the species in the galaxy without suffering heavy loses (a highly unlikely outcome in my view) they would eventually starve while Geth would just use systems devoid of organic life for resources and building more of themselves. If the Flood builds those farm things someone theorised about than Geth would use guerilla tactics and "hit and run" attacks to destroy them.

So worst case scenario it would take a very long time but Geth would win. Geth can wait for billions of years they are machines they don't care. Not to mention they can use the time to figure out how to summon the Reapers and than the Flood would definately get pwned.
