Pistol, shotgun, automatic, grenades, sniper rifle, wild card (gravity gun or whatever, usually touted as innovative.)

As for me, I will be buying this for it is a good game in my opinion, I'd much rather have a good RPG like Oblivion or KOTOR though >.<

I think I will pass on it. I am not a huge fan of the franchise. The environments are restrictive, you can't open doors on your own, and they all felt too scripted to me (See CoD 4). I also don't like the fact that you can absorb a bunch of bullets and 'hide' to heal.

I will stick with ArmA 2 for my FPS warfare.

When it comes out on the cheap. Because I'm not one of those mutliplayer addicts who sits there grinding for a level increase that can be gained just by finding a sever and idling and leeching off the compensatory exp bonus, or playing it to get the *gasp* larger clip and a new gun skin. Both of which only work for ONE GUN so as soon as you unlock a better one you have to start all over again.

wasn't COD4 full of team killers tea baggers and noob tubes? I never owned it and my view is based on only playing it a few times helping a mate past some parts but in my experience it just seemed the same as every other fps iv played since the ps1 except you can shoot through walls.

A lot of people are buying it for the campaign, which I thought was very well-paced, thrilling, and overall excellent. They said that they would get rid of the respawning enemies that have become staple in CoD, so I'll probably end up getting this one as well.

I was sharing mine: I think the entire genre is -->basically<-- (but probably not entirely) copy/pasted over and over again.
As for who decides who is right and who is wrong...
Well, I've yet to see more than one original FPS in...six years or so.
Therefore, I decided it was a safe assumption to make.

Every genre has unoriginality for i have seen many upon many of unoriginal RPGs. And the waste of human life is always unneeded and should be avoided. War is unneeded when one side says they are better than the other when they don't have the right to or should they kill over such stupid reasons. We all have basic human rights and we should respect them.

Ever since Perfect Dark for the N64 I've been a jaded little ass who can never enjoy a FPS.

The only exception has been Combat Arms and Team Fortress 2 and both of them are because of the folks I play with more than the games (Albeit TF2 has a wonderful atmosphere).

CoD4 was one of those borrow and forget games for me. I imagine CoD5 will be no exception.

My thoughts at least.

No matter how good MW2 is it'll never come close to besting Perfect Dark 64. Can't wait for it to hit XBLA.

I figured out partially why I'm so jaded.

When is the last time you played a FPS that had actual AI options in Multiplayer? One that CAME WITH THE GAME...if you said Perfect Dark for the N64 you would be experiencing the same FPS life as me.

Seriously how come it was done in 1998 (I think that's how old it is) but nobody after could manage it?

It just seems like other than graphics every FPS since that game has been a slight upgrade in FPS and a gradual decline in features.

There was just something awesome about taking ally our friends and teaming up against the Perfect AI bots and praying to god they didn't make their way through your Neutron Grenade wall.

This is true - but rarely is unoriginality so prevalent.

I find killing to be an acceptable way of solving a problem - after all, if the other side refuses to fight on account of being dead, there really is no more issue.
