Here, when/if it goes down in price.

Judging by CoD 4 retail price just isn't worth it for the gameplay given.

Ever since Perfect Dark for the N64 I've been a jaded little ass who can never enjoy a FPS.

The only exception has been Combat Arms and Team Fortress 2 and both of them are because of the folks I play with more than the games (Albeit TF2 has a wonderful atmosphere).

CoD4 was one of those borrow and forget games for me. I imagine CoD5 will be no exception.

My thoughts at least.
No matter how good MW2 is it'll never come close to besting Perfect Dark 64. Can't wait for it to hit XBLA. :D
I figured out partially why I'm so jaded.

When is the last time you played a FPS that had actual AI options in Multiplayer? One that CAME WITH THE GAME...if you said Perfect Dark for the N64 you would be experiencing the same FPS life as me.

Seriously how come it was done in 1998 (I think that's how old it is) but nobody after could manage it?

It just seems like other than graphics every FPS since that game has been a slight upgrade in FPS and a gradual decline in features.

There was just something awesome about taking ally our friends and teaming up against the Perfect AI bots and praying to god they didn't make their way through your Neutron Grenade wall.
Because only Rare could pull it off, and they're a shell of their former selves now. Luckily this remake port will redeem them in their hardcore fans eyes. Too bad we'll never get Goldeneye007 either.

I'm probably going to buy Assassin's Creed 2, but my brother will probably buy MW2. So win/win!

I'm going to buy it. Not because I think its going to be the greatest of all time - hell, I didn't even think cod4 was that incredible. Just because from what I've seen, it looks like a solid fps. And I happen to like fps. There's some crazy logic for ya.

I'll get it from a pawn shop nice and cheap, because there is no way I'm pay $70 bucks for that game.

The nice thing about PD is that it has all the guns from Goldeneye and most of the best levels :). Albeit I'd love a hybrid of both games in one mega game (IE all the levels and content of both).

But yeah. Old Rare FPS's destroyed my love of the genre because they set the bar too damn high.

i tried to like CoD 4, but those damn little kids never shut up " WAHH YOUR A CHEATER, WAHH NOOB TUBE, WAA YOU SUCK". the single player didn't impress me much either. MoW 2 doesn't look that good either, it looks like another military shooter to me

This one will be a gamefly rental for me, unless of course best buy gives out free x-blades again. Doubtful as that may be. Yes the game first game was good, but I don't think I want to purchase this one

Played the first one, thought it was a pile of generic crap and was grateful I borrowed it instead of spending 60 bucks for something 2 years after it came out. The multiplayer in the second one looks okay despite some of the retarded things I have heard, but if it's anything like the first game, it's a waste of money and something I will likely borrow once and then forget it's existence among all the other dry and vapid FPS's.

yea someone is confused. COD 5 is World at War, Modern Warfare 2 is technically COD 6
Well, if you're going to be technical, it's actually COD 7, because there was COD 2, and then there was COD big red one.
Then again Big Red One is called Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (emphasis on the "2"). It was really a spinoff created to fill the gap in the console gaming market along with Call of Duty: Finest Hour before it. COD 3 was the first non-spinoff numbered sequel not on pc. There was also Call of Duty: Roads to Victory made for handheld systems.

more recently we have: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized (for the DS) and Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts (for PS2)

so now MW2 can be called COD 11.....IF you dont include the expansion for the first COD

No thanks. I'm all Call of Duty'd out for now. I've already got two COD games for Xbox 360 plus all of the old PC-only COD games. I think I've got all the COD I can handle for now.
