To each his own based on experience I guess. About 5 out of 20 dogs I've seen have tried to bite me when I first saw them. I've never had a problem with a cat personally. Dogs kill purely for pleasure too if you've seen a Greyhound chase a Rabbit or a stray Cat. Most of the things that people accuse cats of doing have been done by Dogs too.Chipperz said:Cats kill purely for pleasure, and I'm fucking sick of the screeches of the birds my roommate's cats bring down and play with while they're still half dead. They physically smash them around our garden and then leave them when they die to get another one. This is not an isolated incident with my roommate's cats either.
On the other hand, eeeeeeeeeeevery dog I've ever seen has been a lovely creature, even the more vicious ones are kind and loving to their owners and people they get used to. Cats will happily claw you (I've had to pry one fron veeeeery near my testicles before) if they're bored. I honestly prefer rats to cats, and that says something.
Did I ever say I would kill one?Jewrean said:Is that really a reason to deliberately kill a cat though? You rarely here about people trying to murder dogs in comparison to the number of cats slaughtered every year. Although granted cats have an innate ability to climb fences.Cody211282 said:Exactly, dog are loyal and love you, cats just stick around long enough for you to shell out food then leave again.Rylot said:Pretty much, and why not just get a dog or another animal that might acknowledge your existence for more time then it takes to feed them?Cody211282 said:Because cats are evil.
See the other response in regards for the second remark though. It depends on the personality of a cat. It would be foolish to assume all cats think and act in the way you have described. Some do, many do not.
You know dogs kill for pleasure as well and that some people actually want their cats to kill things?Chipperz said:Cats kill purely for pleasure, and I'm fucking sick of the screeches of the birds my roommate's cats bring down and play with while they're still half dead. No, and I apologize if it sounded like I was accusing you of it. However, just as Cats often kills birds for what people see as pleasure, people do the same to Cats. My last Cat was skinned and hung upside down by my psychopathic neighbour. Dogs don't get the same treatment. Hell, Rabbits are treated better.Cody211282 said:Did I ever say I would kill one?
Are you talking about Kitty Litter for an indoor Cat? So would you rather they shit on the floor in your house instead? And what if you had an indoor Dog? Are you prepared to get up to open the door for them every time they need to make Poop?Icehearted said:I just don't like that they claw around in a box filled with gravel and feces and then walk all over everything. Also, they're very aloof creatures.
That grey cat I mentioned I had seemed to exhibit this...Jewrean said:To each his own based on experience I guess. About 5 out of 20 dogs I've seen have tried to bite me when I first saw them. Oh and cats vision is based on movement. Killing creatures is how they play, and if there is no movement then they feign interest.
Even though I don't like them I'm not going to hurt them, hell the worst I have done is give them a dirty look and tell them to go away, hurting one would be wrong, and did you call the cops on your neighbor?Jewrean said:No, and I apologize if it sounded like I was accusing you of it. Not in ancient Egypt.Jewrean said:Since... well... forever... Cats have been always labeled as evil.
Yeah I called the Cops and the RSPCA. I also called them when someone I knew had 4 dogs, 3 cats, only fed the animals once every 3 days with table scraps, didn't neuter them and claimed that they couldn't afford the pets (meanwhile this person can still pay for an exuberant Gym membership and the fuel for a V8).Cody211282 said:Even though I don't like them I'm not going to hurt them, hell the worst I have done is give them a dirty look and tell them to go away, hurting one would be wrong, and did you call the cops on your neighbor?
