I meant like, bite to kill. A cat can hardly kill you. And when cats bite, it's almost always playful or if you're doing something to it that it doesn't like (forcing it to do something, holding her tight against her will, etc.).Mr Cwtchy said:Ummm... yes they do. They do a lot. I've been over my friend's house, he has a cat, and it always bites me for no reason.DuX1112 said:Dogs bite people. Cats do not bite people. Yet people "love" dogs, but are "unsettled" by a cat's autonomous ways.
Conclusion: people are weak, malicious, and selfish little bastards. Those "unnerved" by a cat's free will quite possibly have a problem dealing with their own.
Btw, I love both cats and dogs, and virtually every other animal (if it isn't super ugly, and even then...)
And they can and have done a lot worse than biting. Clawing your legs if you dare get up, for example.
And by the way, my dog has never bitten me in anger, only when we're play fighting(it's quite fun).
And that's another reason I do like cats.Redlin5 said:Also, without cats we wouldn't have Catgirls!

Well in that case, you're right. The teeth aren't long enough to do much damage(still bloody hurts though). Although if you want get into the realm of fantasy they could cut your throat with their claws if they REALLY wanted to.DuX1112 said:I meant like, bite to kill. A cat can hardly kill you. Plus, you can't train a cat to hate, attack, or kill other people. With dogs, heh, it's institutionalized, and dogs are being used as weapons in both the police and the army. I fail to see the threat hazard comparison between cats and dogs, seriously.
My point was that humans are envious of what they can't control, and they often want it destroyed or suppressed, while they are fond of controllable, trainable and tameable dogs, for example.

I have a dog, a massive one called Olly (a Boberman, two years old in October). I also have a tiny black and white cat, almost a year old, called Bandit. They get on really well together, and Bandit loves being around us (although she fights so hard to stay out when we try to bring her in the house each night when we go to bed - she'll stay out all night sleeping on the shed roof...). She usually spends most of her day sleeping in the conservatory or garden, but whenever I'm on my laptop she wanders over and just sits on my lap, letting me stroke her. She also has a curious liking for my bed, sleeping on it when I'm trying to revise or read or listen to music.Cody211282 said:Exactly, dog are loyal and love you, cats just stick around long enough for you to shell out food then leave again.Rylot said:Pretty much, and why not just get a dog or another animal that might acknowledge your existence for more time then it takes to feed them?Cody211282 said:Because cats are evil.
Are you sure he's not a cat in disguise? They're crafty bastards.I Max95 said:i love cats but not dogs

*sigh*............................ That's my new reason to hate cats.Redlin5 said:I have no problems with cats. Sure I like dogs better but there is nothing wrong with a cat.
Thanks for the nostalgia attack OP, I grew up with that movie!

But it's a perfectly normal day when cats don't love people back. And I think that's probably the main reason why many people dislike cats.Skullkid4187 said:Its a sad sad day when people don't love cats :[
