I'm getting it because I'm pretty fly for a white guy. Also because the multiplayer looks nicley balanced and retooled and the single player looks fun and chaotic.

Since it had the option, I will not be buying Black Ops, and I will tell you why.

I will not be buying Black Ops because Activision is publishing it, and the CEO of Activision is Robert "Bobby" Kotick. I do not wish to support that man with my money, even if it's only a paltry $60 compared to the million's he'll make off of everyone else. As a result, I am pretty much "boycotting" Activision, I guess you could say. I will not buy any of their products until either Kotick is removed or cleans up his act. This may result in me missing out on some great experiences, but that's my loss.

However, I do understand that other people are very excited for the game, a few of my friends included. I wish no ill towards you all for wanting to buy Black Ops, it genuinely looks like a nifty game. There is absolutely no reason why you guys shouldn't get the best bang for your buck.

And so, with this, I wish all of you who are purchasing Black Ops a good game. I, personally, will not be purchasing it for my own reasons and you will be purchasing it for your own, and that is perfectly fine. I'll probably play the game with my friend, split-screen and whatnot, or borrow it if he gets it for PS3.

Enjoy your game. I mean that in the most sincere way I can.
You know the fact that you are able to still say everyone else has fun with it and know even though you're gonna miss out makes me respect your personal boycott. Nicely done.

I perfer it for the perks, mainly, the lack of commando. Plus I did like W@W MP, and was a little okay with MW2 MP... course that was killed right quick by perk mentioned above.

*Edit*

BTW, I pre-ordered it from Amazon for PC.

Call of Duty is a lot like politics. Every once in awhile a new guy comes along promising not to suck and to bring about great change; it never happens. That's why I'm not buying it.

Black Ops is going to be awesome, especially around the multiplayer front.

That's why I'm buying it.

Not buying it - Ive always found CoD repetitive, and its MP to be dull.

Thats about all there is to it.

EDIT: This isnt me critisising the game though - I dont like CoD because i dont like repetition, i think running around shooting people in MP is pointless, and any rank system is an equally pointless grind. Among several other reasons.
Having said that, i do see how some people DO like the game, and i have nothing against them for it. Its a matter of like and dislike.
I just dislike it

Not buying, like most people on this thread, apparently. Why? Partly out of spite for my FPS-addict friends. Partly from the grit hurting my eyes. But mostly because Brink.
Yeah. Brink. I can't wait.

Because I'm a Call Of Duyu fan, so it's only natural I should get another Call Of Duty game.

I've enjoyed all of the games in the series, and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy this one.

Why not? I liked every CoD game so far(at least the PC ones) and this one doesn't look like it will be any exception.

Besides, MoH apparently turned out to be rather mediocre, so I guess I don't have a choice.

Nazi zombies, co-op, bots in multiplayer, friends are getting it and World at War was amazing and I expect this to be no different.

I think I have pretty damn good reasons too!

I'm not buying it. I've never really been into Call of Duty much and MW2 really left a bad taste in my mouth. The campaign was short and the multiplayer fundamentally broken. I know Black Ops is being developed by Treyarch but lets face it. They're not going to be much different.
I respect that decision because I personally thought World at War was a Catastrophe, but in general the game is going to be much more balanced. They really did their homework in terms of Balance issues, and said there main priority was to tackle in glitches and exploits that first came out in the game.

OT: I've been a pretty big fan since the 4th game, and I generally liked the series. I put more time in to MW2 then I would like to admit, and glitches and exploits aside, it was an amazing game. The only problem with it was that the exploits took up about 30-40% of the game.

I've been following Black Ops very carefully, and it seems like they got it right. The Single Player looks fun, Multiplayer is surely going to be addicting what with the almost ridiculous amount of customization, and Nazi Zombies is already guaranteed to be amazing.

I'm a sucker for the series, but its one of those game I know I am going to love. If only I had the time in the near future to play it...

Will not get it.

Treyarch has with WaW proven that they're only good for releasing a horrible, broken mess of a game. Yes, WaW was cool, but they forgot rule #1 of immersion.
No invisible walls in open fucking doorways!
Well, yes, you have an enemy spawn in there... but that house surely could provide some much-needed cover from grenades nd bullets and the like.

Shoddy game design like that... no... never. WaW does clearly top my list of "stuff I deeply regret paying for".

As such, why on earth would I entrust them with more of my money?
Sooooo you completely hate the entire series just because enemies come out of invisible walls?
Look closely and you'll find that happens in like, every shooter ever made and the actual issue of it is nothing.

Unless your being sarcastic...

Not buying it...yet. I never pre-order games because you never know how it'll turn out. Only things i was looking forward to were the "gambling" gamemodes ,for example, the one bullet mode. Even then, I'll still be playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 more than it,as I've found Cod's multilayer to be really repetitive.

I don't fall into any real category there - mainly to play with my friends list, rebalancing and of course zombies.

Plus I was getting rid of medal of honour so had the money back to spend
First, I just have to point out that it's ironic you're getting rid of medal of honour while your avatar is a picture of Danger Close...second...is anybody else scratching their heads about the two men sharing the umbrella? :p

Okay... now that's out of the way.. on topic now. I pre-ordered black ops mainly because of the multiplayer's dedicated servers, and therefore LACK of HAX. MW2 is a broken game multiplayer-wise, the cheater to player ratio is easily 1:10, nearly every game i join is rigged from the start on account of there being at least one, sometimes two or three aimbotters, wallers or both. In Black ops we'll at least be able to kick cheaters (maybe even BAN them from servers!) because it's server-based.

THAT, and I got a 10% discount voucher from the online retailer Dungeon Crawl when I bought Halo Reach from them. They sell games so damn cheap as it is, i couldn't refuse an extra 10% off. AU$70 for a new release game, that includes express delivery!!! ^>^ Score.

Because it looks fantastic and CoD is generally good (I am not gonna cry over MW2 like the haters, I don't like it but I am still playing the mp so they did something right).

It will be the first game I have purchased this year and I am looking forward to it.
