Because I like Minecraft more than any game I've played from the developers it's come up against so far. It won't be until Mojang comes up against Valve that I'll be voting against them.

I like playing Minecraft more than playing any Nintendo game, any Namco Bandai game, or any Epic game.
I did vote for Obsidian, since I like playing Obsidian's games more.
It's not exactly rocket science. I don't see why people are getting so worked up about it at all.

Well, I think the reason they got this far is obvious: Minecraft. Whether or not a group of people on the forums don't like it.. a lot of people love it(myself included). It's one of the most popular games around right now, it took the internet media by storm and now everyone has at least heard of it. Whether or nt it's a good game, it's a popular game.
Early on in the competition I had to chose between Nintendo and Mojang. When I really thought about it, everything that Nintendo has released that hasn't be a rehash of their franchise characters lately has been quite boring. All they've given us is wii shovelware, more franchise revival and a bunch of third party games published with gimmicky wii controls. I used to love Nintendo, back when the Gamecube was current gen. At that point I would have voted for them without even thinking about it, but this time I chose Mojang. Minecraft has taken up hours upon hours of my life, and I've enjoyed those hours immensely, all because of a very simple idea for a game.

I love Minecraft, that's why. Plus I haven't played as much New Vegas as I have Minecraft.

I vote for devs on the basis of the games they have made.
Mojang made Minecraft. I like Minecraft better then I like the games made by the developers that Mojang have been matched up with.

Get the idea? Not everyone voted for Mojang, but they should still be allowed to voice their reasons for not voting for them.
I voted for them up until the end for them to defeated by valve and I did so becuase I liked the idea of an indie dev getting that far

Well this may sound weird, but I only really voted for them because I didn't really give a crap about the enemies or Minecraft to be honest. Nintendo has only really ever made Mario appeal to me and the rest is gobshite, and Mario has been milked beyond recognition. And as for gearbox I like Gears and all, but you are basically a man with the resilience of a fridge taking cover behind chest high walls against armored insect-dinosaur people, and although it is satisfying it is not actually that innovative. And then there is Mojang, I cannot actually play Minecraft, it laggs out my computer unless i'm half a kilometer below the surface, but my mates seem to enjoy it and I can see the potential. If it went up against, say, Bethesda then I would vote for the one I like, but i'm just with my friends really
I voted for them because it is the MM showdown for 2011, not all time. Nothing any of the developers Mojang has gone up against has taken more hours out of my life than Minecraft has.
