You misunderstand. An organization would imply that all members are working towards a single direction with each member working in tangent witgh ine another. anonymous has no directive, no goal, and no defined leadership. Its more of a group of friends than an organization.Sikratua said:You do realize that you just used a pretty good definition for the word "organization" to claim that Anonymous doesn't qualify as one, right?claymoreguy18 said:Technically anonymous isn't really an organization at all. I would consider it a loose confederacy of people who specialize in computers who assist each other in mutual partnership.
Thats not the reason I hate Anonymous, I used to be a fervant supporter of theirs, even going so far as trying to get funding to them. I learned more about them, and their attacks on Scientologists, the U.S. Defense Department, the Westboro Baptist Church, and other (I feel) deserving targets are only a fraction of what they do. Bear in mind that the group originates from 4chan, and nothing good has ever come of 4chan. They've harrassed and sent death threats to underage children such as 11 year old Jessi Slaughter, they mocked and defaced the memorial Facebook page of bullied children who committed suiced such as Asher Brown. Men such as Julian Assage are heros, fighting against censorship and attempts at media control. If you just pay attention to the Escapist headlines, they seem like righteous champions of free-speech, but once you look into the majority of their activities, you recognize that many involved in this organization are merely trolls, otakus, and angry, nihilistic social-maljusts who use their advanced knowledge of the internet to get back at the world, often by picking on those weaker than them.HigherTomorrow said:I just can't get over how every time Anonymous is mentioned, all ye who hear them begin shaking in their proverbial internet boots. Why is this? Why does everyone believe this? Sure, there are anonymous hackers out there that attack consumers, but come on.
Oh, that must be why.

We have no qualms about our actions, even though it may affect fellow anonymous or supporters... we hope they understand the bigger picture."sheic99 said:You do realize that there isn't a single shed of proof for your claims.Sikratua said:That would be well and good, except for the fact that the group has shown itself to be completely hypocritical, basing their attacks on Sony on the fact that Sony was granted access to information. Information, of course, should be free for all, accoring to the bullshit that most hackers spew from their word boxes, when they talk about why they don't respect the privacy of others.mortalkiller said:evil in the eyes on normal people
maybe because of their methodes and their language
anonymous main role is to protect free speech and have lulz
Give me 5 minutes wth a couple of these jack offs, and we'll see who's laughing at the end. All I'll need will be 5 blank cds and a loaded Swingline stapler.
For the record, I'm not angry wth Sony for my personal information being stolen from PSN. I'm angry at the fucking thieves who took it. And, well, Anonymous claimed credit on Facebook. It's clobbering time if I ever meet one of these bastards.
That's from their Facebook page, posted 10 days ago. Sounds a lot like gloating, to me. Excuse me, I need to find my stapler.
One thing about Jessie Slaughter that a lot of people forget is, she said "Any type of fame, I'll take." Anonymous just obliged.Highlandheadbanger said:Thats not the reason I hate Anonymous, I used to be a fervant supporter of theirs, even going so far as trying to get funding to them. I don't know if you'll head this knowledge, its a sad truth that embittered me when I find out myself. The Paladins of CyberJustice I thought these people were turned out to pedophiles and cyberbullies.
My opinion is pretty much this in a nutshell.Necromancer Jim said:All those massive trollings on innocent sites? All the death threats and verbal harassments towards the families of people who died?
Anonymous is a group that portrays itself as under a somewhat noble cause and then does everything they can to show that they are far from noble.
