You aren't alone in this. I am a fairly religious person, and I can't stand the, "Convert or die," nonsense I hear all the time (be it on these message boards or in the real world). Besides, if you look at what the concept of religion is supposed to stand for, does it not go against the idea that people should not be forced into believing something? More meaning is gained from a thought/belief when one truly believes in it of their own free will right? And I apologize if I generalized when referring to athiests. All the ones I know personally went down the route I described in my previous post. Everyone is different, and each person will have their own reason for choosing what they choose.
