Poll: Why shouldn't I convert to Islam?

I'm thinking about following Islam but my friends keep telling me not to. When I ask them to give me three reasons not to, they can't think of anything. So I am essentially looking for three reasons I should not become a Muslim.

well if you become an extremist Ill probably see you in the next year or so only your proly going to be under tank treads

I'm not going to kill innocents, I'll be working with logistics but on the tank end of the deal or I might actually end up with helicopters,

I wasn't trying to say that you were a blood thirsty monster. I had to stop at all the "Islam oppresses women" stuff. It is not the religion that oppresses women. If you have read up on the koran, then you will see that the reasons for covering up and the financial stuff and all that is for protection. And before I get any feminist's hounding me saying "We don't need protection" just remember: it was written at a barbaric time. So, Islam is not oppressive, it's the social factors, like the country and the men that control it. They just happen to be interpreting the Koran in a way that allows them to push women around. By the way, I'm Roman Catholic, so don't say I'm biast.

But if a religion's permanent rules were based off of a temporary social condition, couldn't you argue it's the religion itself that's irrational and prone to oppressing it's own members? I mean, you can't truely say a religions not oppressive, that it's only the social conditions and politicians behind it. It's a human-made and human-run enterprise; it'll be oppressive by itself or with other factors contributing to it.

If you believe in Islam, you should convert to it. But I do have three reasons not to convert to Islam:

1) Ramadan.
2) Bacon.
3) Beer.

Religion is all fine and good, but for the most part the believers annoy me to an un-godly level.

Extremist islam believers use religion as a reason to justify exterminating jews, and basically bend people to their will.

Extremist Christians won't shut up about jesus, and him dieing on a cross. they also believe in somebody being born and able to walk on water and stuff.

Catholics aren't that bad now-a-days, other then the repenting your sins, which isn't really bad. Catholics were really bad in the past when a majority of people were catholic.

I haven't really seen or heard of anything bad jewish people have done, generally they defend themselves. They would be content to do their own thing not attacking people if they were left alone.
