Halo 3 graphics aren't that amazing that a PC can't run it.

A PC Beast can run any game in the current generation(provided that you can make it run.)(And the important part PC "Beast")

I don't see how it could ruin the franchise. It has millions of fans, thousands of which still play Halo 3. Even if ODST turns out to be a dud, it'll sell millions more on the merit of it's name, and if it's multiplayer isn't up to snuff, fans will likely just go back to 3.

As for not playing as the Chief... Honestly, the guy doesn't say two words of significance in the entire trilogy. You still play as a Spartan in ODST, so what's the difference?

You dont play as a spartan, the clues in the name, you play as an ODST or orbital drop shock trooper.

I don't think it could possibly ruin the franchise. In fact, I think it will provide an interesting twist on the way Halo is played, as it means that you will have to take on the same enemies that Master Chief fought and fight in similar situations, but through completely different means, as the ODSTs aren't walking tanks like Master Chief. I think the incorporation of tactical shooter gameplay into the Halo franchise will spice things up a bit.

Why do you want a mediocre FPS on a PC, where we have at least 5 great online FPS games?

Because I love Halo.
I thought Halo: CE was amazing and still do.
I think that Halo 2 is amazing.

Well then, buy CoD 4/WaW, TF2 or L4D, put really dark glasses (helps if they are broken), play some Halo grunts in the background and you are still playing a better game.

Or like, buy an Xbox 360?

master chief was overpowered anyway

Of course not! I for one am glad we will finally *NOT* play as the Master Chief, I like him but how is he any different to every other gun toating Hero in a powersuit? hopefully with ODST the protagonist will move away from the usual run in and gun though methods of the Chief, for some stealth aspects, because it would be stupid if a normal marine, ODST or not, to kill a Brute like the Chief.
(Bungie, about the ODST guy, I will give you ten pounds if you call him something Un-American like Bob or Fred, please let the ODST guy be called Fred, it would be halirious)
