I will decide after i see more of it, live, at Blizzcon 2009! It looked good, live, at Blizzcon 2008 though!

I might just play the beta as well whenever they open that to Blizzcon 2008 codes.

Blizzcon woo!

If it is not overpriced, then yes. I have read a lot of rumours about it costing over $150, and that to me, is a rip off.

how long has it been since the first starcraft came out? 5-6 years?
Double that. Starcraft came out in '98, if my memory serves me.

I may buy it, but not all three. Starcraft was always a multiplayer game to me, and that's what Starcraft II will be.

Unless it comes with a fully operational Battleship, SC2 will most likely cost around $50. For the first part.

There is no real confirmation from Blizzard that the Zerg/Protoss will be tagged as full games or X-pacs. Anyway doesn't matter cause each part will have one year or two betewen releases.

No.
First reason... I never saw what was so great about the first one... just looked like Age of Empires in space... didn't want to drop $20 on it...
Second reason... strategy games don't hold my interest very long... I don't play them online because I know I would get owned, so the campaigns get boring after a few times... World in Conflict would be amazing if it had a scrimmage mode, or whatever it is called, like Age on Empires had...

I want it, because Blizzard is all that is awesome, but I hate PCs and PC gaming.

I'm torn, here.

Really this whole "One game for the price of THREE!" crap they're pulling has got me on the fence. I would have bought Starcraft 2 before but now it's going to have to be the most unbelievably awesome gaming experince that has ever been conceived for me to even consider it.

If it comes out for consoles, maybe.

Otherwise I don't care.
No way in hell I'm playing an RTS on a console, and I can't be arsed to get a new PC to play it even if it is the cure to poverty.
Am I the only person that likes Console RTSs and think some of them work fine?
I wish I had a computer that could actually play it. I'd play it on consoles. Tom Clancey's Endwar was decent, right?

Professional reviewers nowadays are whores. They will give any overhyped game a positive review just so they won't lose traffic, so I don't feel like waiting for reviews will do anything. I'm going to buy it, and I'm going to make my own judgments about it.

No. Too long to produce a slightly upgraded SC. Not worth my time. Plus you just know the reviews wont be worth shit. Its starcraft. The name alone gets it at least a 8.5.
WOO! Im not the only one!

Is that a question or a confirmation of fact? Because I played it and thought it was awful.

Hmmm, let me see.

I bought Starcraft.
I bought Brood Wars.
I would've gotten Ghost if it was ever released.
I like Starcraft better than Warcraft.

So ummm...yeah. I'm buying.

It was a question. I saw it played before and seemed decently fun, just no hands on experience. Just don't think you can play late at night when the parents are asleep.

Not really. I played the demo and the voice control kept mistaking my ones for nines and threes for sevens and fives for fours, meaning my combat control was severely impaired.

Unless they drastically improved the voice control function on the full game (which I doubt), then I couldn't really control my units, which for an RTS is sort of important.

Blizzard haven't released a game not on the PC for almost fourteen years, with the exception of a Lost Vikings reboot for the GBA in 2003 (which was basically just a port/minor update on an old game anyway).

SC: Ghost would've been on consoles, but that was never released. Seriously, Blizzard are an almost entirely PC exclusive developer. Their next-Gen MMO is likely going to be for the PC and their other product [http://www.diii.net/blog/comments/fifth-blizzard-game-in-the-works-update/] is currently using the WoW engine for testing which speaks to me it'll be for the PC as well.

How can you love Blizzard and hate PC gaming? That's almost a self-exclusive statement.
