When I watched it played, he had absolutely no problem with the voice control. Probably just an isolated problem (not to say only you would have had issues with the game) If my mic is fine, then I guess I'm good.Amnestic said:

Not a chance. Blizzard has yet to release a good RTS in my opinion, and with all the fan following of Starcraft, I doubt they will change the formula enough to change my opinion on the title.

Uhh, actually the original came out on the N64 for whatever reason. Pick it up somewhere and try it to see if you can play it. Not saying it's impossible (personally I like fps's on console over pc even though the whole point-and-click is probably faster/more accurate. I like the overall feel of it and I think it's more of a realistic challenge.) but if you could play SC well on a console, you would be pretty amazing IMO.oliveira8 said:
Back on-topic, yeah, I will be buying SCII on launch day (college schoolwork permitting). I still play SC every now and then, and I just can't imagine Blizzard creating a bad game, I don't see this being a flop. (Yes you can argue the whole Activision-Blizzard merger, mixed with marketing, but I don't think Activision is interfering with the development process, they'd be stupid to think they could.)
When starcraft 2 comes out, I'll get starcraft 1 for the first time. If I like it, I won't get starcraft two until the three pieces of the game are merged together for a reasonable price.
Eh... Probably. And it does not deviate much from the original formula because the original Starcraft is still really popular. I know a bunch of people that were upset that Dawn of War II changed the game play so much, hoping simply for updated graphics of Dawn of War I. So if Blizzard made any major changes, they would receive a lot of flak.

The quality of an RTS lies solely in the hands of the person viewing it. The Blizzard small scale micromanaged RTS formula, which works great for fans of the system, ruins the game for me. I prefer larger warfare ala Command and Conquer and Dawn of War.
The fact that it is successful in Korea as much as it is doesn't phase my opinion in the least. As long as those playing it enjoy it, all the better. The fact is, this thread asked if we were getting SC2 and thus is a discussion board on that topic.

You seem to be taking this very personal for some reason. I understand you enjoy the game, and hope you enjoy the second. I'll wait and spend my money on Command and Conquer 4 and enjoy it just as much.
