If it comes out for consoles, maybe.

Otherwise I don't care.
No way in hell I'm playing an RTS on a console, and I can't be arsed to get a new PC to play it even if it is the cure to poverty.
Am I the only person that likes Console RTSs and think some of them work fine?
I wish I had a computer that could actually play it. I'd play it on consoles. Tom Clancey's Endwar was decent, right?
Not really. I played the demo and the voice control kept mistaking my ones for nines and threes for sevens and fives for fours, meaning my combat control was severely impaired.

Unless they drastically improved the voice control function on the full game (which I doubt), then I couldn't really control my units, which for an RTS is sort of important.
When I watched it played, he had absolutely no problem with the voice control. Probably just an isolated problem (not to say only you would have had issues with the game) If my mic is fine, then I guess I'm good.

Not a chance. Blizzard has yet to release a good RTS in my opinion, and with all the fan following of Starcraft, I doubt they will change the formula enough to change my opinion on the title.

I wish them success, but I will sit this title out.

Quite probably.
Eh, I'm special!
Yes..you special...in the retarded way!! Muahahahhaha!!! You know...cause you like RTS on the console..cause only...bah nevermind...

OT:Yes I will buy SC2 and unless Wings of Liberty sucks ass I will buy the other 2 expansion packs/Full games. Then I'll buy the Battlechest edition just for the walthrough books.
How is it retarded that I like something?
Cause RTS is not for console. RTS is about having supah speed with the controlers. No controler right now offers the same speed as keyboard/mouse in a RTS. Mainly Starcraft, a game that you have to click on 50 different things every second.
I think I'd live though.
Get the original SC for PC. It's from 98 your PC will run it unless your PC predates 1998... Then comeback and say that you can play SC on a console.

Edit: In multiplayer so you have an idea, theres players that can end a match in less than 5 minutes and you left to wonder what the hell happened.

It's click fast or die.
Uhh, actually the original came out on the N64 for whatever reason. Pick it up somewhere and try it to see if you can play it. Not saying it's impossible (personally I like fps's on console over pc even though the whole point-and-click is probably faster/more accurate. I like the overall feel of it and I think it's more of a realistic challenge.) but if you could play SC well on a console, you would be pretty amazing IMO.

Back on-topic, yeah, I will be buying SCII on launch day (college schoolwork permitting). I still play SC every now and then, and I just can't imagine Blizzard creating a bad game, I don't see this being a flop. (Yes you can argue the whole Activision-Blizzard merger, mixed with marketing, but I don't think Activision is interfering with the development process, they'd be stupid to think they could.)

The entirety of Korea disagrees with you.

How does it feel to have a whole country think you're wrong?

When starcraft 2 comes out, I'll get starcraft 1 for the first time. If I like it, I won't get starcraft two until the three pieces of the game are merged together for a reasonable price.

Eh... Probably. And it does not deviate much from the original formula because the original Starcraft is still really popular. I know a bunch of people that were upset that Dawn of War II changed the game play so much, hoping simply for updated graphics of Dawn of War I. So if Blizzard made any major changes, they would receive a lot of flak.

Next time quote my entire statement.

Blizzard has yet to release a good RTS "in my opinion".

The quality of an RTS lies solely in the hands of the person viewing it. The Blizzard small scale micromanaged RTS formula, which works great for fans of the system, ruins the game for me. I prefer larger warfare ala Command and Conquer and Dawn of War.

The fact that it is successful in Korea as much as it is doesn't phase my opinion in the least. As long as those playing it enjoy it, all the better. The fact is, this thread asked if we were getting SC2 and thus is a discussion board on that topic.

I will buy it, I like a good RTS every once in awhile. And the good memories of the original are enough to make me want to check SC2 out.

If I'd quoted your entire statement, I'd have written

"The entirety of Korea disagrees with your opinion.

Big change, I know.

Also 400 zerglings fighting 200 marines begs to disagree with you as well.

That was fun to watch...

The difference is I wasn't stating a fact, which you quoted me as stating.

As for "How does it feel to have a whole country think [I'm] wrong?" The answer is simple, it doesn't feel like anything. It doesn't matter if it is an entire country, or just the guy at the computer next to me here in the office. If they enjoy the game, that's great. To me, the game is trash.

You seem to be taking this very personal for some reason. I understand you enjoy the game, and hope you enjoy the second. I'll wait and spend my money on Command and Conquer 4 and enjoy it just as much.
