I'd love to have a PS4 at some point, but for now with my gaming PC, and hopefully my coming PS3 replacement, I'll have plenty of games to fill the gap until the PS4 has more titles worth it. I'm sure that's how many people feel, though I won't speak for everyone.

My Xbox 360 collection is growing even faster, now that the 8th gen systems are out. The games are so cheap now, that I've been buying multiple copies of games that I enjoy playing in co-op over LAN. I'm planning to pick up a PS3 soon, and catch up on the exclusives I've missed.

I still buy PS2 games, I don't care how old a game is as long as it's good. I'll still be buying last gen games for a long time. Not to mention JRPGs usually take a while to move to the next console, as shown by Xillia 2 and Persona 5, and those kind of games are the ones I want the most.

If its available for both ps3/ps4, then I'd buy PS4 version. Gotta think long term.

I told myself that I would only buy PS4 when I'm completely done with that PS3 can offer me. So I think I see myself sticking with ps3 for few years before I move on.

So by the time I get to PS4, hopefully the game's would be much cheaper.

Hell, I've not played half the games I own for the ps3. I can think of nine titles that aren't even opened. Still got a long long time of entertainment to hold me over, so why bother?

At any rate, certainly have enough to hold me over to 2015.

In my region, there looks to be no or an insignificant price difference. So I'll buy games Im going to buy on the best system available.

Mix and match, when I eventually get a PS4, probably. Still a few games I don't have in my huge collection... but odds are I'll get them before I bother with the PS4.

I'll probably buy Gran Turismo 6... might be the last console game I ever buy (so that's one for the PS3). Probably know in a year or so when the new ones actually hit their stride.

As for multiplatform releases... the only ones I've ever preferred on console were the Batman Arkham series.

Not sure what to vote. Maybe the thread doesn't apply to me since I don't intend to get the new consoles, yet intend to keep using my PS3.

The only next-gen console I'll buy is the SteamBox only so I can buy high end PC games without the risk of them not running on my laptop. And also for the potentially exclusive Half-Life 3. Until they no longer make games for the 7th generation I won't buy a PS4 or XB1.

Wait, PS4/Xbone versions are more expensive than PS3/360 for you? They're the same price over here.
So I'll buy the PS4 version of games coming out in both gens. Doesn't mean I'll stop buying PS3 games, though - I'll get Into the Nexus and Persona 5, maybe Gran Turismo 6 and Murdered depending on reviews, and any other interesting game that doesn't also come out on PS4.

I have a gaming PC too. I just dont feel the need to shove anything PC into console threads. That way none of the PC types can act like assholes and try and run down consoles. I probably should have mentioned that in the OP but I'm sick of doing it.
So you have a thread titled "Poll: Will you stop buying PS3/360 games?" and don't care to get complete or accurate results?

Gotcha.

*votes randomly*
Well this is a console thread. Aimed at people who have or are going to get the new consoles. I want to know if their new consoles are going to replace their old ones entirely.

To be honest mate you don't count unless you have a next gen system. Unless you have the option not to buy 360/ps3 games because you have a next gen console, then you dont really need to vote. In future you can just click see results if you want to get involved in the discussion.

I'm going to keep going with my 360 as long as possible. I may upgrade once games aren't made for it anymore, it decides to stop working, or I find a must-have game that's exclusive to a new gen console.

If the option arises to buy 360 over Xbone, I'd probably go for 360, when dealing with continuing series like AC4. I'm kinda annoyed at the whole no-backwards compatibility thing, seeing as onging series that started in the previous consoles are now gonna continue into consoles that won't carry the previous games.

At least, when releasing the 360, Microsoft had the common sense to support the original Xbox releases of Halo. I mean, they kinda owed that to the game that saved their console. At least then, it was possible to own the entire series and be able to play them all on a single console. That's not gonna be the case when Halo 5 comes out on the Xbone.

Assassin's Creed started on 360 and PS3 so if they continue beyond AC4 and you want to own the full collection, you now have to be sure to own two generations of consoles in order to access them. And what about series that started on PS2 and continued into PS3? What if they continue into PS4? Are you honestly expecting me to buy 3 consoles, just so I can access the full series?

Stuff that irks me, is all.

A big fat HELL NO! There are a ton of games on the previous consoles that I missed out on. Now that the next gen is here, I should be able to find games for cheap.

With TLoU and GTAV....
And Destiny is coming to PS3, and I can get Watch Dogs on my (kickass) PC...
And I still haven't found the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and recently got the original Wind Waker...
And still have a buttload of awesome indies
Screw next-gen for now... the only truly next-gen games that interest me is Infamous Second Son, Dreamfall Chapters,(and Peggle 2?)

I've never owned an Xbox and I'm not buying a PS4 any time soon (i.e. this year or the few following), so yes, I will continue to bask in the benefits of being late to the PS3 party and reap the sowings of GOTY Editions.

Once Second Son comes out I'll definitely be making the jump, or when Christmas arrives and I've got nothing better to get for Christmas (no I'm not getting Wii-U lets not go crazy here). But until then I have a back catalog of games I haven't finished for my current PS3, If it's a game I'm pretty 'meh' on (like Watchdogs) that are coming out for both, I'll be buying the better version.

Although I must say I'm surprised to see Killzone Shadowfall on the AU PSN Store for 89.90. I would've thought they'd jack up the price to $120 or something, as most next gen title I've sen having been going for $75 as opposed to $60.

Definitely will be buying PS3 games. With upcoming Tales of Xillia 2, Lightning Returns, Mugen Souls Z, Persona 5 and others my PS3 will be brimming with life well in to 2014-15.
