Lottin reportedly told investigators that they wanted to humanely kill the horse and eat it ? and she wanted to feel what it would be like to be inside the dead horse.
I can't make any statement or joke with a straight face.

I am ok with this. It was humanely killed. Not a very dignified or tasteful death, but I think her excuse was reasonable:

So she was just taking a rare opportunity of fantasy fulfillment. Interesting.

Freakin hilarious! People these days have the thinnest skin ever, yea, it's weird, but it sure as hell shouldn't be illegal.

I went to the one in Florida a few years ago. It was really neat, they even had a fetal room.

Its disgusting, and I hate the idea of doing so, but I'm not sure its something that we need a law over. Its not abuse. : /

She is creating art, obviously >_>

Maybe even win the turner prize like the guy who did this

I don't know if its already been posted, but something like this came to the Baltimore Science Center a while back....except it was humans. Link here [http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/]

I went to something like that. Body World, or Body Works...I dunno its the one in James Bond: Casino Royale. Ah, what a weird school field trip. I'm all for donating my body to science, but not for it to be hacked apart and displayed in art piece by crazy german doctors. This would make Sander Cohen shudder with fear. There's even a part with a whole bunch of deformed babies in glass cases. MAN THAT IS SOME NIGHTMARE FUEL RIGHT THERE LEMME TELL YOU.

about this though, curse my curiosity, but I wanted to see how bad it was, and I stopped right at the thumbnail pic of her face covered in gore. Thats messed up no matter how many ways you slice it. Wait...I didn't mean to say that like that. Anyways these people need some mental health exam. And no it shouldn't be illegal, but they should've gone to a vet. I would laugh if she got some rare disease from this.

Well, they said it was in declining health and they did kill it humanely.

So while not illegal it certainly is a little bit bizarre.

It should never ever be against the law, the horse was put down because of it's declining health, what the owners do with the body is their own goddamn business. As long as what you do doesn't harm others or the property or others it shouldn't be against the law simple as that.

Weird fetishes should not be outlawed without reason. Otherwise, half the world would be under lock and key... staunchly denying that they looked at anything of the sort, of course.

Animal cruelty is wrong, but there was no cruelty here. The animal was killed humanely, was getting old and was failing health-wise, and once it was dead the carcass was their property. They could have made any sort of leather goods from its hide, sold the meat for whatever purpose, burned it, whatever. It's theirs, and it is beyond pain or embarassment.

Distasteful? Sure. I don't want to see that. But that's the internet for you. :p

IT should be a crime but what law is she breaking exactly? The "dont-climb-inside-dead-animals" law?

They shot it in the head, so it's not like the animal suffered. Otherwise it would simply be animal abuse.
Why should it be a crime?

It's odd, I'll give you that, but there's no real crime involved if the thing was already dying. If anything they put it out of its misery. And you can't really call out any b.s. about the mutilation of a corpse because horses don't really have any legal rights, and it was essentially property to the owners. So no, this is not a crime, it's just weird and they probably shouldn't have posted the pictures online due to its graphic content.

People need to calm down here. It's not animal cruelty because it was in declining health and was probably going to die anyway. On the flip side however, if the horse was in declining health because of the owners not taking care of it, then there's a problem. The article didn't really go into any sort of detail on the matter so it's kind of left as a "he said-she said" kind of thing. Logic over emotion in cases like these guys. Whining about something or protesting can only get you so far in terms of law and order.

why the hell not? It's her life.
This seems to be the presiding opinion in this thread.

Normally I'm all for "if they're not really hurting anyone, what's the problem?". However, I take objection in this case. I don't care what you say, this girl is obviously downright nuts, and she's roaming free on the same planet as me. That's what concerns me.
If this is the worst kind of nutter present, then I must've taken a wrong turn somewhere, and ended up in Utopia.
