Poll: Would you be a good god?

I would try to be good as possible and make sure the mortals don't lose faith, but rival gods could make me go to drastic measures.

Good as in doing whatever is nesseccary for mortals to prosper as being mean to them can be benificial so they dont rely on you

or the one type where you just like to screw everything up


id try to be good but ill kick em around when they need it (for there own good)

bad gods would probably have competitions to see which god can make a guy king or which god can screw everyone over (by making evill creatures and such)
but good gods would have to join in to stop the mortals reliance on gods

i'd have the world be like world of warcraft. not in the everything is the same all the time, but like the, you can't die, and the world is filled with magic, races can actually be called different, evils and shit, just a hell of a lot more epic. but you can kill kings and take their place, but they are very powerful and you have to do it alone otherwise an npc takes it's place.

In real life however, making the good choice is never easy, but thankfully my divine omniscient self would prevent me from doing the wrong choice, hohoho. I don't think I'd make a great god. I'd be too easily ruled by my emotions. On the one hand I'd have fun watching people I deemed filth live their torturous existences only to end up dying miserably. On the other hand if I saw a mortal I happened to like going through hell I'd feel like I'd need to intervene.

OT: I'd be a good god. Most of the time, that is. Every once in a while, I'd strike down any nonbelievers to show people I'm still boss.

I don't know which kind of god I would be, because I believe that good and evil is an abstract thought (like time) and only exist because people reflect (sometimes) on thier actions.

Good and evil exist just to help explain how a person morality is viewed in the eye of the beholder.

I would stil follow my own moral code of how it should happen, but every action could be explained as "good" or "evil".

Do I make any sense?

Well if you want to get philosophical, I'd say whether or not a "god" is good depends on how the beings feel that this god governs over. The god itself would probably decide it were ultimately good, even if what it did was force all mortals to consume their weight in crap before they went to bed every evening. And in some mad, twisted world the mortals might consider that a just and righteous act they are privileged to undertake.

.... At any rate. I would do my best to be a god of the good alignment, though as with my imaginary plans for a new world order, there are many rules I'd enforce that mortals wouldn't enjoy. Like the "everyone has to wake up and get ready for work in an elaborate musical number" rule. Woe unto those who haven't taken a few dance lessons in their lives.

Ever played Katamari Damacy? With my crazy awesomeness, i'd probably be like King Of All Cosmos, with a dash of divine retribution: i can be vengeful, but never a jerk. I don't think i could harm innocents - and why would i need to if i could bring Lombaxes to reality and hang out with them instead of commiting acts of omnipotent jerkassery?

Hell no. Just because I'm usually nice doesn't mean I'll stay that way after being totally god-damn omniscient. I'd probably act like I'm not god and go about my daily business, and just make sick perversions and deformed husks out of those who annoy me. For a while, anyway, before I go truly insane and do whatever I want at the slightest whim.

It'd be friggin' awesome.
