First off, there is a difference between being important person (Jesus, some leader, etc.) and a group of people deeming someone as perfect (who is perfect?). It's not always the same thing. With that said, since most likely the group is being stupid to put someone up so high. I would go with the single finger sign off which isn't an option in the poll so.. unless pulling out and playing minecraft right then and there after the insult is a sign off.

I wouldn't be offended. I would de-value this group putting this person as perfect. Find another group as well.

No, I wouldn't be offended because I know I'm not perfect and have my flaws, I would however feel quite within my rights to point out to the "perfect" being that nobody likes a smartarse and they're an untactful bastard.

Really, just because you can see someone's flaws doesn't mean that it's right to point it out to them, when you see someone in a wheelchair you don't go up to them and point out that their legs don't work and they'd never be able to jump as high as you, because that would make you a nobhead and far from perfect.

putting aside the question of why the perfect person is a troll? :p I wouldn't be bothered, the opinions of random strangers, no matter who they are, don't really matter to me. At all.

Not enough choices for the poll, not enough information in the question.

Do I too accept this person as perfect? Yeah, I'd be offended and angry. Then again, if they're perfect, meaning infallible, and I accepted that they're perfect, then maybe I'd have an immediate personal revelation as to a fault of my own.

If I don't accept this person as perfect...then I'd tell him to kiss my imperfect ass....TWO TIMES!!

Offended? Yes. Angry? No. Whether he's perfect or not he'll still just be another asshole in my book.
I was thinking the same thing.
and they are not perfect because that is sort of thing an asshole would do.

No. I'm not perfect. I admit I have flaws. I think someone who went out of their way to point them out would be kind of a dickhole, but that's beside the point.

Offended? Hell yes. There are no perfect people, and anyone who claims to be perfect (or doesn't make any effort to dispel that perception from others) can go eat a dick.
In fact, that in itself makes you not perfect. You may be phyisically perfect, but mentally and socially your a dick.

So yeah, no one's perfect, or ever will be perfect.
And anyone who puts down others just because they're perfect means they aren't perfect.

This. It doesn't matter who the hell it was from. Now however if they attempted to engage in physicall contact, that would be a whole different story all together.

I guess if I myself regarded this person as perfect, I'd just take what he/she/it says for the truth. So I wouldn't be offended, I'd just accept it. And I guess it'd sadden me.

It's really a hard situation to imagine.

If jesus himself descended from heaven and told me all my insecurities were true and listed every fault I have I'm not sure what I'd do.
Probably crap myself jesus was talking to me.
Might dwell on it, I mean cmon.
At the same time I know I'm not nearly as horrible as other people in the world.
I'm not judgmental of people (cept maybe stupid people) and don't do anything atrocious like murder or assault.
I'd feel bad but not too bad.
Time to make a fort.

If he insulted some random guy like me then he wouldn't be perfect.
But, yes, at that moment I'd be rather offended.
[small]Now, if you excuse me, I have business to attend to. Where'd I put my pickax?[/small]

I would point out that unless I did something to them that warrants a character flaw being pointed out, I neither asked nor desired their opinion. Especially if the person is perfect; they would have no experience on how to handle or overcome ordinary human flaws and therefore in no position to point them out to me.

But yeah, I'd be offended. This person just pointed out a flaw of mine for seemingly no reason, I think I can take offense. I wouldn't be angry, just... a bit sharp.

Not really. I wouldn't give the finger, not my style, but I wouldn't be offended. I know I have flaws and I've acknowledged most of them and also admitted there might be some that I can't really fix, so I doubt they would point out something I didn't know and even if they did, I would just accept it and move on.

If there was one person in the world that was viewed by everyone as perfect ( I'm not arguing that there is one, just bare with me) have it be some leader or Jesus or someone that was the ultimate human being, and that person insulted you, picked out some flaw in your personality that the perfect person didn't like. would YOU be offended, or would you shrug it off and give it the single finger sign off?
If this person was perfect, they would have any and all justification to insult me or bring to light my flaws. Assuming that I know that said insulter is perfect, I would be a fool to jump to either reaction of getting offended, or 'shrug it off and give it the single finger sign off'. Rather than either of those, I couldnt really have a reaction...Maybe gratitude (especially if its a flaw you rarely/dont acknowledge)?

Meanwhile back on earth...

Nope. If he was just being a dick, I would shrug it off.

But if he actually had a point, I would think about improving whatever it is.

EDIT: But if he WAS just being a dick, he wouldn't be "the most perfect person", now wouldn't he?

If they were the sort of person to insult anyone and not be tactful or diplomatic about an issue, then they'd not be "perfect".

Not particularly. I know I'm flawed, and that sometimes those flaws are things that other people really don't like. I would consider it constructive criticism coming from a perfect individual.
