Yes. The only way to define human perfection is to denote everyone else as inferior. To me, that stinks of a certain movement that was kinda of popular in the early part of the last century...

I'd say "Fuck you son." then smash him out! Mainly cause if he was so revered and "Perfect" then it would cause me great pleasure in one upping him with a sheer awesome one liner and some crazy on the spot made up kung fu...yeah that's my reason o.0.

Plus I always thought it quite rude to point out ones flaws, and they *edit - Read me (in this scenario)* are probably aware of the fact already and stating the obvious has always been a bugbear of mine.

If there was one person in the world that was viewed by everyone as perfect ( I'm not arguing that there is one, just bare with me) have it be some leader or Jesus or someone that was the ultimate human being, and that person insulted you, picked out some flaw in your personality that the perfect person didn't like. would YOU be offended, or would you shrug it off and give it the single finger sign off?
I'd be offended if it wasn't some perfect being, why would them being so make any difference?

Uh no. If anything, they would be the only person who's criticism I would actually take to heart. The only person that should be allowed to insult and criticize is one who has no flaws themselves.

I agree with the 'this perfect human doesn't exist' mentality. Nothing is perfect and anyone who claims to be (or even accepts everyone else saying they are) has obviously gone off the deep end.

That said, whether I would be offended or not would depend entirely on the finer details. If the individual pointed out something I was doing wrong and gave a few suggestions as to how I could improve, then I wouldn't be happy but I wouldn't be offended. On the other hand, if they merely said whatever I did was wrong without qualification I wouldn't consider their 'criticism' worth listening to.

Wait... So I'd be insulting myself? That seems a little counter-productive.

Huh? So you're saying that my intense arrogance means I'm not the perfect being? Damn.

Although as the fifth element established, the perfect being is Milla Jovovich. would be overjoyed to be insulted by her, as it would mean that I knew Milla Jovovich.

It's basically happened to me. Stephen Fry, who many fucking adore, has made a personal vendetta against my culture and has made racist comments about the country of my families heritage. Am I offended? Yes. Do I care? No. He is just a person. Comments like that, while hurtful, are just like water off of a ducks back. People who get very offended and indignant over an ignorant person are never going to get any peace in this world, and I intend to enjoy my life

I have an older brother who pushes my buttons every day. I can take whatever this person can dish out.

Well if everyone thought he was perfect, that would includes me, so I'd probably be more worried and try to change myself. Not that this is the right thing, just it's what would happen in that scenario.

So, this person says I'm not perfect? Huh, tell me something I don't know. It might irk me a little, but I don't think I'd be offended.

Yes and I would express my offence by way of a swift boot to the knackers of the omnipresent wanker!

Yes. I have a shorter temper than most people, and wouldn't regret taking action. For starters, I would bite his face off.

Lesser people have not liked me and I've been bothered by it, so without a doubt I'd be offended if Leon didn't like me.

I honestly couldn't give a damn, in regards to myself I think I'm the harshest critic. So when someone points out a flaw it's either something I'm O.K. with or something that I'm trying to fix so either I'd agree or tell them to piss off

He/she won't be so perfect when they have been decapitated, perfection is also a matter of perception. Maybe this perfect person should get off their ass and actually do something rather then insulting me.

Their opinion doesn't matter.

Besides, if they would so harshly point out others flaws then they probably aren't perfect anyway(At least not in a social sense).

Anyone got some spare obsidian or cobblestone they can lend me?

...What?

OH! Right.

OT: I would be offended, but I would probably take it into consideration more than I would shrug it off.

That's the way you improve yourself. Be considerate of how other people look at you, depending on who THEY are, of course.
