Why would I get rid of the internet? It's pretty much the best source of entertainment ever. There's always something new, and it just never loses what makes it so much fun. Sure, there are times where I hate what I've seen, but that's just stuff like trolls, but I get over that within the same minute.

The internet isn't that integral to modern society, so destroying it wouldn't be like the apocalypse or anything. I don't want to destroy the internet, but if I had to I wouldn't feel bad about it.

The internet aint' just entertainment only. Inofrmation, trading, social networking, etc. Just because you hate tentacle sex or fred, you don't neccesarily have to destroy it. What about... avoiding it?

Here's a thought: If you think the bad of the internet really outweighs the good, and for some reason, you think all this is totally unavoidable, what's to stop you from not going on the freaking internet?

You'd delete decades of progress, a vast pool of information, an invaluable way for many to stay connected, because you can't stop yourself from clicking the internet icon on your computer.

No, because although there are bad things on the net there is also good things as well.
Take this website for instance, its not just a place with a nice forum but its also giving us News about games, e3 coverage and a lot of other things as well.
Being able to get news about the world from other sites is also really nice as well and keeps anyone willing to look up this stuff and read it a well informed view about the world we live in.
