No, because a country doesn't really exist. It's a certain piece of land defined by a fine line drawn on the corners, with an exact amount of centimeters. A country doesn't exist. Land does, and it's a part of the planet. If that may be a bit too spiritual for you to comprehend, then let me give you another reason. Politics. The world is ruled and is endlessly being burdened by petty morals, codes, politics, bosses and rules. I won't die for that.

Based on what you say you want to know, you might want to reword the question. Countries don't exist. My friends and family do. Would I die for my country? Of course not. But to protect my home, and my friends? Absolutely.

As for music, I mean damn man, what don't we have in terms of music that wouldn't interest people, there is literally too much to discuss effectively.
A lot of musicians might be from America. But you have no festivals that interest me.Festivals that I'm interested in,Wacken Open Air,Hellfest,Download,Norwgian Rockfestival,Roskilde, and that one in Finland. They all have at least one thing in common.Their all in Europe.
Plus I listen mostly to Scandinavian Black and Death Metal.

brummie, cockney and londoner (im both), geordie, scousers
Why else would I choose England. You get a shit ton of concerts from many obscure bands that I like.Free healthcare is a plus, although I have that here in Iceland. And you guys have DOWNLOAD festival.Which in second place for festivals that I would love to go to.Just behind Wacken Open Air.
And yes,your accents rule.
obscure bands are the best. they actually put effort into their songs, and have to. most 'popular' bands get famous, then release crap they KNOW people will buy for the rest of their careers, which last about 2 years

and what with americas population, they cant get any credit for making good stuff cos they have a far higher chance of 'spawning' a musician or scientist than other countries

I would die defending my family not my country.

I would fight hard for my country, though it's not worth dying for in my opinion.

No, it doesn't deserve the priviledge of my death. Well, the people - the common men and women, the previous generations before me and those that made English culture what it is today can - but I won't because of the Government.

Chances are my loved ones wouldn't get cared for or I will die for a cause I do not believe in.

Fuck that, patriotism seems dead in England at the moment (see world cup).

Well if friends and people I care about were getting involved I'd join in a heart beat. So I guess I would.

Sort of. If I went into the armed forces, I'd apply for a desk job, or, at the very worst, be a combat engineer, cooking grenades and the like. I like to know that my failure can only be caused by my own incompetence and not because someone who doesn't like the clothes I'm wearing decided it'd be a good day to shoot him some 'mericans!

England can fuck right off. I'll move to China.
China, seriously? Personally if i had to move i would go to New Zealand, or perhaps learn Swedish and move there.

On topic. I wouldn't die for my country no, i would die for humanity instead.

Would I die for my family and friends? Yes. If that's what "dying for my country" means, then so be it.

But would I die on behalf of the government? No way.

The self-centered patriotism and "willingness" to die for one's country is one of the many factors that lead to invasions in the first place so no.
