I think the better question is, would my country die for me, if the answer is no, then fuck them.

To answer your question, I would if my country weren't controlled by morons, regardless of whoever is president.

so, NO.

No, because that wouldn't help anyone. As Patton said, it isn't dying for your country that matters, it's making the other poor son of a ***** die for his.

Would I be willing to pick up arms to fight that other poor son of a *****? Yes.
Patton is such a Babe.

"Though i Walk through the valley of death, I have no fear...For i am the meanest ************ in the valley" - Patton

OT: I wouldn't die for the country no. I would die for my family and friends in order to protect their safety and lives.

Would a fight for it? Yes. Would I die for it? No, becuase then I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

Besides, a live soldier is far more useful than a dead one.

for peace to prevail, we must look past our own countries faults and follies, but also others.
apart from england. we're perfect. we have james bond
seriously though, respect everyone

Balls to that. This nation doesn't deserve its freedom.Let it burn.I have intentions on moving out of it when school is out anyway.
Psst! Come to America, we have cookies and gorgeous women, what other reasons do you need :).
But you need other things.Like good health care.Which is no.Music festivals,so that's a bust. And the only real thing that draws me in anyway to America is a certain human being. And he's just a friend...And we have good looking women here,so that's not a huge appeal.I have my eyes rather set to England.

No, I don't feel like I have to die for a country or a people, I just live here and try to mind my own business, it's also not my conflict if it's between 2 country's. I would however die protecting my loved ones.

At the moment my country's being run by a coalition government that I didn't vote for, implementing policies that the voters don't want.

Frankly, the invaders are welcome to it. I suggest Vikings, they could always do with more land.

I find it funny that all these people who say no, assume that they and or their loved ones would be left out of the war and live normally. You all need to stop assuming life is like video games, people are not penalized for killing civilians in a full scale war, total war is just that, total. They will bomb cities, towns, industrial zones, they will round up non-combatants, put you in camps, or just kill you. One thing is for certain, you sure as hell won't be living as you live now. You remain a threat and an enemy to them, so in effect your best chance of living and living happily is to have your country, whether you like it or not, win the war.
Or just take your family and friends and flee to a country that is not engaged in that war.

And to answer the question: No!

Why else would I choose England. You get a shit ton of concerts from many obscure bands that I like.Free healthcare is a plus, although I have that here in Iceland. And you guys have DOWNLOAD festival.Which in second place for festivals that I would love to go to.Just behind Wacken Open Air.
And yes,your accents rule.

No. I couldn't give two craps about whatever country I was born in, it was just by coincidence where I was born.

I would, however, die protecting my friends and family.

I was only being half-serious, and in its defense (despite being ranked 37 worldwide for overall healthcare) the American system is actually the most responsive according to the same WHO survey that ranked it so poorly overall. As for music, I mean damn man, what don't we have in terms of music that wouldn't interest people, there is literally too much to discuss effectively.

Interesting, i would say no, i would die for a number of things, freedom, democracy ect. but there are so many things that i dislike about England specifically that i would not. just out of curiosity, because the common stereotype is that most americans are very patriotic, i would be interested to know how many of the people who put yes were amaerican in proportion to how many put no
