Yes. As most Americans would. Whether you like this country or not, if you're an American, chances are you'd at least try to help the resistance. So for the glory of my country, yes.

Wow, I was honestly NOT expecting this kind of response from the majority of people here. Not saying you all are cowards or anything, but I was expecting an overwhelming response to be to go somewhere else or to just simply not fight.

That being said, my friends and I have said for years that if the US was invaded, we'd enlist together and fight to the death, if necessary. This isn't just land with buildings on it, it's where my family, my parents, my brothers, my friends, everyone that I know, lives. Hell yeah I'll give my life for this piece of soil.

well let me say you'd have to be either utterly insane or desperate to try and invade australia

that said even though i'm not patriotic in the slightest if someone in did invade yeah i'd probably take up arms. two reasons why 1) this is where i live, i don't want my house reduced to rubble and 2) if they want the country that bad then they're gonna have to work for it, and i'm gonna be contributing towards making things as difficult for them as possible

Risk my life for Norway? AHAHAHAH... no really, I'd flee like a *****. Unless there was profit to be had for fighting, that would at least give me a reason.

Needless to say, I'm far from a patriot. Home can be wherever I decide to park my lazy ass.

I'd fight if the invading force was: a) aliens, b) robots sent from the future, or c) people/things/creatures who want to enslave me for bum raping or something of the such. Otherwise I'd off myself before the nukes come down because i have already played most of the fallouts and it will not be any better than that.

You don't have an option for "Destroy everything in my way simply BECAUSE it's in my way.", so I cannot vote.

Fear the might of the Canadian military, 3 guys, a jeep from 1962 and 3 subs; and only 2 of those subs light on fire when underwater. truly a great military power we are
Hell, I'd surrender if someone asked me to, with our millitary. In fact, I'd just do it without being asked.

Gladly. I'd fight to my last breath. I am quite proud to be a Canuck and wouldn't want to live in a world without glorious nation of Canada.
Respect. If I lived in Canada, I'd gladly buy you a drink, sir.

Keep in mind only the Nato forces follow rules of war so expect determent camps and anyone being killed for any reason.
A) Countries which aren't part of NATO are allowed to follow the rules of war.

Although

B) NATO nations are hardly immune to ignoring the rules of war.

If the states were invaded, I'd probably attempt to continue living as I had been. The flag others fly doesn't really matter to me. Of course, if decent profit is involved, count me in.

I'm too young, and I have a bone condition which would make me an absolutely useless combatant. I might fill a desk job or do something to help from home, but I cannot go out and do physical fighting, whether or not I want to.

If America was invaded, i would fight...from a distance using a high powered scope. It would be like a real point and click adventure!

I have a family. I'm also relatively gimped (car accident about 15 years back). If it came down to defending them, I'd be the first to be raiding the local Wally World and sporting goods store for 12ga & 20ga for the late father-in-law's old riot gun and over-under. I don't keep rounds in the house with having two kids. (They're my spawn, and I know how much trouble I'd have gotten into if I'd found a weapon in the house at their age or older.) Heck, Joe never kept ammo for them, either. The old riot was for 'auditory deterence' when he was on the road back in the eighties. Nothing says "Back the f*ck up from the RV" like the *k'chak-chak* (he had a pair of solid shot shells, sans powder, to complete the effect, or so he told the story) of a pump action being cycled.

But it would all come down to them... If we're talking full-on, World in Conflict / Homefront invasion, then my first thought would be either running, or compliance. If it was a civil coop, then it'd be more between running, or boarding up and getting to know my neighbors a lot more closely. As it is, I can't make a choice without better situation awareness.

It's like the question posed in my Philosophy class: "So, a man with a gun comes into your home..."
There were varying immediate replies from "take him out" to "give him what he wants". My response: "Is it a cop?"

I'm pretty sure I would fight, unless it was a benevolent force there to make things better for everyone.

Hell I already have a pretty decent armed militia group in the form when I think about it. Grab some of my survivalist friends, a few of my gun-happy uncles and bring my dad along to advise/lead the rabble and we'd be pretty damn dangerous to a hostile force. Plus unless its the Russians, the Quebec winter is going to be hell on them.

I would fight to stay alive, I would fight to keep my friends and family alive, but my country is worthless to me.
It is a rock, my house just happens to be placed upon it.
