If I disagreed with the invaders' plans and methodology, yes. But I wouldn't be fighting for my country.

Depends on the invaders' agenda. If they were planning to establish totalitarianism a la North Korea or execute anyone that pissed them off a la the Taliban, then yes. Absolutely. If it was, say, the French or the Canadians, and they just got sick of our bullshit and wanted our greedy imperialistic asses under better management, then I'd probably sit back and let them do their thing.
I'm against the US's invasion of other countries, but I fully understand and recognize the need for our military force. I would enlist if our country was under genuine, deadly threat.

Not sure about the branch, though. My grandpa was in the Navy Seabees from 47-77, so that has a pull, but it all comes down to where I feel my need is put. Or can get in. Not sure what weight requirements would be. Especially since I'm what you might consider "scrawny as hell."

I'd go for a more simple, yes I would - if I was drafted option.
It would totally depend on my current situation, however - for instance if I was ill, or a (very) close relative was very ill, I'd be more obliged to help them... after all, better my family then a piece of dirt ruled by a government I don't particularly like.

I really don't think fighting would solve anything. Ok, so I pull my $150 Katana out, but what to do when it breaks? Oh. I'm so dead.
No, no, better to try and not piss the invading force off. If I get the chance, I'd hide, John Marsden style (You know, except without the ironic hell analogy and bridge-related guerrilla warfare. I figure foresty area would work, unless the invaders don't care about resources and just torch the fucking place)
But otherwise? If people go out of the way to invade Australia, it sure as hell isn't because we pose a significant military threat. No, they want some of our precious Australium. If I ignore them, they might just shove me into a camp, or something, to mine said Australium.
Of course, when that proved itself dangerous and painful, due to various abuses suffered? I don't know. Everyone has a breaking point. I'm sure that right now, given a chance, I would NOT be able to kill anyone, regardless of present circumstances. After a year of mining in full BDSM gear? Well, you never know.

At the same token, however, there are so many problems in the government system we have, it's one I wouldn't actively defend. Don't light the flames on me just yet, hear me out. I'm an anarcho-communist, and I believe that the only power one must listen to is oneself. For those of you that don't know what Anarcho-communism is, I'll put it as simply as I possibly can.
Every man can fend for himself, but we live longer and better if we work together.
Synopsis/tl;dr - I'd find my own bit of land to claim as my own and fight for that.

Not like... I wouldnt go enlist in the military but would I try to fight like a Wolverine in Red Dawn? Fuck yeah.
I don't like my home country, and one day I'll leave it for one I feel is better. But for right now, it is my home, and I strongly believe in the spirit in which it was FOUNDED on. I seriously doubt any invading force into America would have anything but bad intentions.
