I'd pick the "Screw Destiny, I'll make my OWN army" option that will basically wait out the whole of the apocalypse for one side to destroy the other and then defeat the remaining side while they're weakened.

Now i know what you're thinking: What kind of army could possibly be able to go up against god and Satan? Simple, just gather together all the pagan gods (Artemis, Zeus, Odin, Anubis, Mars etc), among other gods/Demi-gods outside of the christian mythology, and duke it out in one final epic showdown for the fate of the world...

Once again, the issue most atheists have with Jesus isn't that he wasn't a ridiculously cool dude. Just about none of the more questionable parts of the Bible (most of the "you have to kill people if they do x" pronouncements for instance) are actually from Jesus.

The issue most atheists have with Jesus is that there's no real evidence that he had special powers or divine guidance beyond a really, really old book that's been hopelessly edited and translated and purposefully changed over and over. If Jesus descended from on high and was like "Dude: war in heaven guys. It's on like Donkey Kong." and pulled out a flaming sword or something, being an atheist would be pretty ridiculous.

And once you aren't an atheist, why would you side with the embodiment of evil? Why not side with the guy who was already pretty cool when you thought he was normal and is now pretty cool with actual supernatural power? Further, once you have confirmation for some of the more incredibly unlikely things from Christianity, it's irrational not to assume that some or most of the rest of it is true also (to be explicit: I do not want to get into an argument over whether you can philosophically justify this as truly rational), which would lead you pretty inevitably to believe that fighting against God would be an incredibly foolish thing to try.

Wow. This is just like the last election I voted in - a choice between two sides I don't believe in. :/

I abstain and chill in Purgatory/Limbo/Whatever with all the other people who don't care.

Yeah, lets fight for the very essence of evil against an omnipotent being who can wipe you from existence and send you to eternal torment with a mere thought?

yeah.
My statement matches yours almost perfectly, though I think the joy in fighting the Everything (a title I just made up, just now) is the futility.

Why fight on the pretty-damnded-sure-to-win side? There's no chance you could lose, just one you could die before the boss gets his ass in gear.

Besides, in a modern sense, putting satan versus god on a purely moral standpoint, the devil is likely to win more popularity contests.
-freedom of thought/expression
-freedom to have sex whenever, however and with whoever you please

Disclaimer: I'm not really aware of which exact passages to cite reference from. I'm also not aware of where it said that senseless murder was deliberately provoked by satan or a demon specifically. Thus, I am probably very wrong. Please correct my mistakes.

Were society to use its own morals to judge right from wrong, we'd be practically the same as we are now, though perhaps a little more depraved (then again, maybe not).

Then there's the wrath bit. God's a bit of a prick when it comes to unnecessary killing.

I do belve that when you don't join either side you get doomed to wonder the domain of Earth for all eternity. That wouldn't be that bad except that its after the Apocalypse and there isn't anything left alive on the earth. It just be a big wasteland.... might be fun.

I'd side with Jesus. Why? I'm neutral good and proud of it.

I would take the side of the Imperium of Man and launch a 1000 man crusade into this 'hell' and 'heaven', purging all who do not follow with us.

For the Emperor

Thats actually a better question than it seems at first. For one, if Satan is real, so is God...and if thats true, in the Christian sense, I am probably going to hell anyways. So, do I jojn God and hope that absolves me of what He find immoral (though I disagree), or do I side with Satan, reasoning God will send me to hell regardless, so I hope to get in his good graces for when Im down there. Its really for me, more of who's ass would kissing best help me.

I am going to go with Lucifer on this one. Sure he could be evil, but at least he is consistent. You go in knowing what to expect. Yahweh? Who knows what he is thinking. One day he could love everyone and unicorns are everywhere, the next day there could be water where your country used to be. No reason that he is willing to give. I also have my own various reasons that probably belong off the boards and in a PM.

I guess I am insane!! >:D

Besides, why did the uprising happen if Yahweh's mere thought could have ended it and/or caused it to never happen in the first place.

tbh the devil watches over all those who have commited things like murder right?, and really the devil isnt really evil hes just kinda like a warden at a jail in my eyes, so im gonna side with the dude who really wont have any qualms with me unless im evil and has an army of murderers at his side, plus if you belive some extream christions being born is a sin which you would be sent to hell for so, the devil holds controll over every human ever born...that sounds like pritty fucking good odds =D
I too have thought about this. I boiled it down to a sort of Pascal's wager

Side with Yahweh has two outcomes:
You win: yay! :D
You lose: shit, now you are in bad with the guy who is torturing you.

Side with Lucifer has two outcomes:
You win: you win heaven!
you lose: you cease to exist.

Also, According to the Bible Hell is supposed to be bad for everyone involved.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with the guy that's not gonna have a catch for joining him.

So Jesus.

God's side is considerably BLOODIER, and yet, if Satan got his ass handed to him once, it'll probably happen again. ...
I'd probably just hide somewhere with power outlets and play games and surf the web till the whole mess blew over.

What Jesus and Devil are we talking about? James Caviezel and Peter Stormare? Willem Defoe and Ray Wise? These are hard questions, man: be specific!
