We all would have to jump in there sometime.
Anyway I voted no.
Disappearing in blue light sounds pretty interesting. As teleportation has not jet been proved by science, I would spend ages to figure out everything there is to be known.
If there are people in there it means that they have gotten there somehow. This doesn't mean that there are way back, but there could be more people incoming. As I imagine this "room" not very big (around 5-10 meters squared) we would eventually run out of space. Or oxygen (suggesting that we would still need to breathe and/or eat).
There would be many things to explore. Starting by how deep the rabbit hole goes (as we can tie those tongs to form a rope to climb down the well) till the mastery of quantum physics. Every chemical element have it's half-life. It decays. Rots. Turns into something different.
Also I would ask fellow tong-lads how long have they been there so I could analyze that room even more. "Time doesn't exist there" you say? Time is abstract dimension. It is interval between two actions, so you can measure time by, let's say, by dropping down the well something and seeing how long it takes to drop 1 tong height. It would be called tongime (tong + time? Anyone?). From there we could re-define the whole physics. And that would be AWESOME!
Anyway, those tong guys might have interesting stories to share. Who they were, the last thing they remember before getting here and what is that well anyway.
But as I told you, we all would have to jump down eventually.
(Seeing the reference to life - we all have to die eventually and everything will come to and end eventually. There is no reverse entropy possible)
