I was thinking, "Only if it were a zombie puppy!"

But probably not even then. I would try to help the adorable little scamp with the massive wounds and by the time I realized bad stuff was going down it would bite me and I'd be screwed and also a zombie.

This does not compute. How does making an animal suffer for no reason equate to stripping an animal of its flesh and eating it because you bred its parents for that express purpose?
Since I didn't ask "would you kill a puppy," it's not an exact analogue. But notice how a lot fewer people would kick a puppy, even though they're definitely doing less harm to the animal, than would eat bacon. I just wanted to see how people's intuitions would be different when they were asked to hurt a puppy instead of a pig. The "reason" is getting a small amount of money, which was meant to be comparable to the pleasure you get from eating the pig.
It's often used to show that people don't hurt certain animals because they are cute, which should have no bearing on anything at all. And then we look at what makes puppies cute, and it's the comparable features they share to babies (Big eyes, realitively big heads, their composure, dependance, playfulness).

Which is an interesting way to consider it

What? God no, I could never... oh, wait, for science? Well, of course I would! Why didn't you say so before?

I'd have to yell "FOR SCIENCE!" at the top of my lungs at the moment of impact. If I can't do that, then there's no deal.

Am I effed up if I wouldn't kick a puppy but would consider kicking a baby for 15 bucks?

I'm joking of course, so don't get all pissy

I voted yes, but only because I hate puppies. That said, I probably wouldn't kick it. But I do hate puppies. So it's only half right.

Yes.. I can't explain the reasoning behind that one o_O other than the purest desire to be an asshole ^^

If the puppy is attacking me I will kick it hard enough to make it realize attacking me is a bad idea. I mean really attacking, not just play-biting the way dogs do. I like dogs. Money doesn't enter into it.

15 bucks? That's just like 2 hours work... nah...

I'd kill it if it was rabid or eat it if I was starving, but not kick it for any reason unless it's trying to fight me.

EDIT:

In retrospect, if someone came up to me with such an offer IRL and was serious, I'd punch them in the mouth and throw a 20 dollar bill at them. Then kick him.

Yeah, I know. And I love pretty much all animals. Spiders freak me out, and most bugs are a bit off putting. But I have a special hatred for dogs. Foxes, wolves, and other canids are wonderful. But dogs are complete idiots.

"Why not? It's just an animal"? Are you fucking kidding me? They aren't vegetables, they DO actually feel pain.

And...NO!! That's just...fucked. Animals are incapable of deserving violence.
