I fully agree with this. Space is a black abyss, probably not inhabited by life forms thinking that humans are okay, and as such would most likely zap me or something.

I'd go to the moon and to Mars, and draw a bunch of weird stuff in the sand, so when people find this while building bases and whatnot, they'd be like "OMFG SIGNS OF INTELLIGENT ALIEN LIFE FORMS!" and I'd be back down here going "WTF RLY?!"

If there was a way to explore, truly explore, the universe and its planets/moons/suns/comets/etc, and not just sit in front of a computer solving nigh impossible mathematical equations, I'd say Yes in an instant. Don't take this the wrong way if you are one of those science people who can work out wheter or not the universe is consisted of different planes of existence, I'm not saying your work isn't challenging and important, but if exploration is consisting entirely of that then I'd prolly stay at home and do something more interesting... like play a flight sim or watch paint dry.
