Poll: Would you live in a Police State?

I've always thought that it was a valid question, which is preferable, freedom or safety? I'd choose freedom, but can I knock someone who would choose safety?

I couldn't agree more. People who are free to do anything will often behave very badly, which will make life worse for a variable number of other people, and probably themself in the long term. On the other hand, with no freedom to be an individual and express the unique views, values and qualities that make you who you are, what's the point of even being alive...?

I for one would rather live somewhat comfortably in a police state, than to die painfully in one.

I would be perfectly fine living in a police state where every need is taken care of. More likely then not there would be small freedoms such as choosing what to wear and such and that should be more then enough to stop the people from rebelion.

Nazi Germany wasn't a police state, per se. Much less so than the Soviet Union was at the time, at least.

if we did live in a police state i'd been in jail doing hard labor and would make my quest for world domination harder but anyway as the economy worsens , people tend to be more restless which causes instability then rapidly desolves into marshal law being declared and that would end in war and then OH SHIT would be the last words you'd hear before BOOOM!
