As long as the game isn't crap, I don't care. As long as there aren't completely unnecessary love scenes to make sure I know how gay my character is. Not that the gay love would bother me, just that pointless love scenes do.
I just feel like if they decided to give gaming a gay protagonist, they'd have to make a big deal about it because straight has been the default for so long. Kind of like how they used potential lesbian-esque sex to draw people in to Mass Effect.

As long as they weren't annoying about it. Like if they mentioned it subtly I wouldn't mind but If I have to watch half an hour of man on man, and the game is just screaming "I"M GAY AND PROUD, LOOK AT ME!!!" I'll get pissed rather soon. Hell, even a gay sex scene like in Mass Effect (Is that a hip?!? OMG) wouldn't be that annoying, as long as they keep it calm.
Well if were talking looks, Sora has that hands down with the horrid Zipper-Outfit.
I personally dont care if the main protagonist is Gay, Straight or Bi but as long as it focuses on the point of the game (and where NOT talking about Queer Eye here) and doesn't say, veer off to see his childhood boyfriend and start making out while the Villan You-Tube's it and we have the Fan Girls going "Wooooo!!".

i wouldn't mind as long as he wasn't gay just for the sake of being gay so the developers can say "hey look at us we have a gay guy in our games look how accepting and mature we are ladeeda"

Gay people are EXACTLY the same as noprmal people in every aspect but sexuality.
