Wireless Internet? A tool of the running dog lacky imperlists to brainwash the masses that Kim Jong-Il isn't a God on Earth. Enough of this counter-revolutionary treason, Off to the gulag!

I would pick Uganda,at least there I could go down fighting if I so chose as opposed to being snuffed out by the government in the night. also stuff like in the video above would drive me insane I'd never be able to even fake that. That is what happens when a mortal man claims to be a god and makes people dependent on him for his own ends, yeah, give me the one where there's at least an outside chance I might be able to shoot my dictator in the face.

North Korea. Yeah it's shit, yeah I might starve to death but I can toe the line and I'd probably get along fine if I just sing Glorious Leaders praises. Plus I'm hoping the NK Gov would be smart enough to realise the propaganda they could spin with Western man WANTING to serve aforementioned Glorious Leader. I could probably wrangle a decent deal out of that. But Uganda? Hell no. I'd rather not get caught in the cross fire when the oingo boingo tribe decides the gongo wongo tribe has gotta go, or just because they don't like the look on my pasty face.

Uganda. You're nominally free, you can get out, you do have alternatives to starvation. There's a possibility of a decent Western-standard life with intellectual freedom, in spite of all the cirppling poverty and corruption.

Also, your government doesn't have concentration camps and carry out human experimentation. Possibly vivisection.

With Uganda you could at lest ESCAPE, North Korea would shoot you for trying.

Would you rather be a slave in hell or a free man in a slightly more dangerous hell? I'd take freedom.

Why did you feel the need to clarify that Uganda is in Africa, but didn't tell me that North Korea was in Asia? I had to google that shit.

Anyway, I'd pick N Korea any day. At least they get free secondary education. Sure, half of it is brainwashing, but it still means I won't need to become a sex worker at the age of 12 to support my family. As for the people saying that you can at least leave Uganda... not when you're poor and illiterate you can't.

Yeah, the military over there has been accused of raping it's members. Its kinda common.

I would go for Uganda.

Last time I've check with North Korea they got this-

-Starvation and power shortage problems.
-A backward country (since they don't have technology like us).
-Either you're brainwash or had to act like Kim Jong-il/ Kim Jong-un like a super god.
-Brainwash again to believe any non North Korean are monster or inferior (seriously they got a museum of the Korea War that portray them as heroes while the American are salvage monster that throw babies into the river).
- A death camp to throw anyone who trying to escape including the families of the person who trying to escape.

Ok sure Uganda is still bad but at least I still got my freedom to do what I need to survive.

Uganda, I would rather live and have nobody give a shit what I do and do my best to mind my own business then have to worship a dictator and starve to death or get thrown into a death camp because my picture of Kim has a spot of dust on it. Then again, I could still starve to death in Uganda but at least you have options.

Depends, Uganda is not doing as badly as people think it is. Y'know, there are actual rich people there(!) - *gasp*, rich black people - no one seems to have considered such a possibility. Certainly it's not doing that great, but there always seems to be this idea that everywhere one goes in Africa you'll be beset by starvation, disease, war, poor people and shanty towns, and absolutely nothing else.

The starvation in North Korea is also not as bad as it was in the 90s, but it's still incredibly oppressive. The one good thing it has going for it is the opportunity to defect to South Korea, and that's still pretty difficult.

In the end I'd probably rather live in Uganda.

Uganda. At least there, if I kill myself, I could do it without fear of my family being sent to death camps. Living in DPRK would be double-plus ungood.

In Uganda I would get a million diseases, starve to death if not by crapping myself until I died from drinking the water. There's also a chance that I could be killed by someone for no specific reason.

Now that is still better than what I expect from North Korea. In North Korea I would starve and still be forced to praise the guys who got me into a position where I am dying slowly and painfully. If I am to die because my government is run by someone crazy and corrupt then I want the right to complain about it.

Interesting choice of words since there is photographic evidence of US soldiers doing just that among other things. Saw it once in a documentary about N.Korea's accusation of war crimes done by UN, but mostly US soldiers. (Of course, you cant sue USA for war crimes, they are exempted in UN agreement. I'm not kidding)

North Korea. At least you can be honest person there and live like the others. (I see honesty means nothing to anyone here) Also people are friendly bunch which is more important then all the money in the world.

The same people who shout vicious slurs at young girls for daring to ride a bike? The same people you have to keep quiet around in the fear that they'll report you to the local authorities for possible dissidence?

And honesty? Pretending to live a normal life and praise the glorious leaders of the nation as it falls apart and you starve to death is not what I'd call honesty, least of all to oneself.

Raping its own members?! Wtf? I thought it was all about raping random civilians! And isn't Uganda one of those nations that heavily looks down on homosexuality (I'm a guy)?

The thing is, 1984 is based on fascist and communist dictatorships. So 1984 is probably an almost fucking perfectly accurate description of North Korea, exept for a few things, for example, the Party accepts Jews, blacks and Indios in their ranks, if only to avoid that some people feel oppressed by other races/cultures/nationalities, whereas North Korea isn't all so inclusive.

Fun fact: Rather hilariously, Room 101 was named after a conference room at the BBC, where George Orwell had to sit through boring meetings.
Also, 1984 didn't have the mass starvation that Korea has. Not to mention, that the working class people aren't even monitored because they'll never rebel.
