the problem with this logic is that unless you're satan himself, and you're not, you aren't going to be ruling anything in hell. the real debate here woud be whether the devil made the right choce when he did his nefarious deed.

Does 'Heaven' need to be the one from one of the Judeo-Christian faiths or is any afterlife allowed?
If so, I'll gladly serve in Valhalla. If heaven consists of eternal parties with endless amount of booze, food and wenches, with the occasional brawl, then servititude is a small price to pay.

I'd rule in hell, mostly because i think if i was in charge things would be running better.

I guess serve in heaven, because I'm a crappy ruler and there would be a revolt in five seconds. Of course, what does "serve" (and for that matter, Wibble) mean? Cleaning toilets, or being sent into the bowels of hell for God's sick amusement?

Somehow, the idea of existing in eternal bliss (service or not, you're still in bliss after all) sounds like a better deal than being tormented forever and ever (especially with the knowledge that it will NEVER get any better, that no matter what you do, you're stuck there). Ruling in Hell is rather like being the most impressive prisoner in a penetenury. That's on fire. And you can't die. Doesn't mean nearly as much as you'd think. Heck, in the end, ruling in Hell just adds to the bitterness because no matter how much power you think you have (and you probably don't have that much), it doesn't really account for jack squat in the big picture.
