So what your really asking is... "Be Single or go into a relationship?" OR "Live on your own or live with your parents?"

I've been ruling in hell for quite awhile now, its much more simpler than serving in Heaven.

Why do you insist on linking there?

Heaven for me. I'm too nice a guy to play the torture game.

There is undoubtedly no such thing as heaven or hell, however, working 12 hours a day here on Earth would probably be very similar to hell.

Eh, I'd have to go with serving in heaven, if the heaven and hell are the same as those described by the Bible, if only because hell is described as a punishment for everyone, including all of the demons and Satan. that being said, I prefer Paradise Lost, which paints a much more vivid picture than merely "the good place or the bad place."

Rule in Hell, take over Heaven using my hellish minions, then rule Heaven (I prefer the weather there).
You do know that's been tried before?
No, I was not aware the Teapot [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teapot_agnostic] tried that before.

Have you read the New Testament?
Honestly, no. However I haven't read the Torah or the Qu'ran either even if I'm usually quite fond of fiction.

So what would everyone do, be a servant in paradise or rule over a wasteland?
Even if I wasn't ruling, every story I've ever read involving god was an unflattering one. From bad parenting to a tyrannical personality, I'd much rather be punished than serve beneath something so fickle and shallow minded.

My two cents at least.

In either instance, you end up serving.

People forget that when you come into power, you usually end up doing things you don't want to do to keep the people below you from killing you and enslaving you. Most of the time, that means doing what the peons want to placate them. Or basically doing something to prevent their destruction (because who would you rule over or who would serve you if they were dead).

Basically, you become a servant to your own crown after awhile.

So ... wibble.

Serve in Heaven. Leadership can be an overrated hassle, more so when you consider what the residents in hell must be like.
But it's hell, so you don't need to anything. As long as they aren't doing anything good, they are doing their jobs.

Oh for fucks sake. .
Is it not possible to have a conversation about religion (albeit a trivial and amusing one such as this) without some arrogant up themselves know-it-all atheist strolling in all "Hurr, god don exits"

I bet you think you're so clever for not buying into religion, but quite clearly you're buying into atheism in practically the same way. Want to know why? BECAUSE YOU REFUSE TO DISCUSS RELIGION! There's more to criticising (as in literary criticism, not "This sucks") religious texts than just "Haha Sky-Wizard!" You're just as bad as ultra-literalist "THE BIBLE SAYS SO!" fanatics.

And I'm saying this as an atheist. Is a little sensible reasoning too much to ask for?

That's like saying would you rather be part of a community garden at the worlds premier 5 star resort.

or.. boss around a bunch of hyper-violent psychopaths in the worst dilapidated, dirty, disgusting, unpleasant place on earth.

i think i'd rather spend eternity comfortable and happy so...

Depends what are the hours in heaven? Because serving 24/7 in paradise means you never get to enjoy it.

Serve in Heaven. Noone rules in hell, everyone suffers unimaginably, side by side and yet truly alone forever without hope.
