By servant do u mean act as a sex salve to them hot angel chicks? or sit and pray all day.

And by wasteland, do you mean desert like shit-hole or a hot place full of funky demons that'll do my bidding.

I'm not that big of a fan of firey caves, so ill take heaven.

But if i had to chose hell i would fix it up and sell it for a quarter of heaven.

So what would everyone do, be a servant in paradise or rule over a wasteland?
I pick option number beige: I would exist in purgatory.

... yes thats right I said 'option number beige' and I stick by that statement.

Heck, I would gladly serve in Hell. Think about all the cool people who has gone to hell! All of the free-thinkers and such. Heaven must be so boring.
According to the church.... They don't want anyone messing with the power they have concentrated up there.... Which is a sin BTW...

So it depends on who you ask, the bible rewards free thinkers (just so long as they do good and honour their lord), however the church condemns them.

Also, which version of Hell? Dante's Hell? The "void" hell (aka Christianity/Judaism's versions)? Pastafarian? Islamic? Christian Church's (which is way different from the bible's)?

Neither.
In the words of Eric Adams: "We who die in battle are born not for heaven not for hell."

I'm going to Wallhall. Mead and wild brawls for the rest of the afterlife sound like a pretty sweet deal.

Serve in Heaven. Leadership can be an overrated hassle, more so when you consider what the residents in hell must be like.
But it's hell, so you don't need to anything. As long as they aren't doing anything good, they are doing their jobs.
I can see your point, but still, to rule in Hell over the worst kinds of people sounds like it'd be a pretty miserable experience. Do I really want to be in the company of people so bad God wants nothing to do with them, forever? Imagine what's be like if Hitler, Dahmer, Manson, Gacy, Pol Pot, and Napoleon were throwing a party and unapologetic unrepentant pedophiles, rapists, murderers, child abusers, and maniacs were invited, and you were the MC.

No thank you.

I think being ruler of Hell is like being the king of Detroit, sure your king but it still sucks. no offense to anyone, I live near Detroit.

After reading the divine comedy, god rules hell. Those that do torture people in hell do menial tasks constantly. That would suck. Plus, the devil ruling hell is wrong. He's kinda stuck in ice.

Serve in heaven. They have 'two for one Tuesday'.

Taking Christian or Muslim ideology, I think it's safe to assume the ruler of hell is a defeated, embittered dude drowning in his own hatred and misery, awaiting with dread the Day of Judgement when he'll be annihilated along with all the sinful.

He's also not even much of a ruler: he's only running hell because it suits God to let him exist in order to give a non-divine counterpoint so that humans can have their faith tested.

I'm not really sure power is a particularly good recompense for such an existence.
well it all depends on wich fiction you draw information from the bible or pop fiction.

Hell wouldn't be such a bad place if it were under some decent management, i.e me. Anyway, if you haven't been able to figure it out yet, rule in Hell.
